Hi. Im thinking of selling my 08 Macbook Aluminium. Its body is complete and it has a few chips in it and scratches along with a what I think is Logic board problem. Its not booting at all and I cant get it to do anything more then tell me how full the battery is through the battery indicator button on the side. The screen works and ram is fine. Everything will be with it apart from the HDD for obvious reasons. How much do you think I should sell it for? No one has priced a faulty Macbook Aluminium on eBay UK. Im not really sure what the problem is but I have done everything under the sun to get it to turn on and failed. It might not be the logic board but it probably is. I was thinking maybe £150? I have no idea whats wrong with it but I know itd probably need a new logic board for it to turn on. Any ideas? Thanks!
if the logic board is gone, it's probably best to part it out. You'll probably get more that way. The screen itself is a hundred, I believe. [editline]9th June 2013[/editline] Could you give us the family number? On the bottom of the computer it should say something like "MacBook 3,4". That lets me know exactly what's inside.
MB466LL/A I think. Its not with me at the moment but Im pretty sure thats the model number. When I get back home tomorrow Il look it up. Thanks!
Yeah it'd probably be be best to part it out.
