Fuck my birthday is the 14 and I cant decide whether I want a hardcopy or a Steam download of Skyrim. What do you guys prefer?
I'd go for hard copy, but that's just me. I like physical copies. Plus a free map, bro. Either way, it uses steamworks no matter what.
Steam, because I prefer never having to worry about losing a disc. [editline]6th November 2011[/editline] Wait, the hardcopy is tied to steam?
if you get a hardcopy for pc, it will still go onto steam, with a faster install.
So can you install Skyrim into Steam? Not as a non-Steam game, I mean.
Wait, the hardcopy is tied to steam?
That's what I'm wondering.
You get key with physical copy. You enter it to Steam and you own it both Steam and physical. So physical.
I'm not getting it. :v:
Steam pc Skyrim has the same price as the xbox/ps3 versions. So i cancelled my order on steam to get the Case from a different store for 100kr(10£) less.
there's a certain joy you get from holding a tangible game like that in your hands. feel that joy. buy the hardcopy.
I'll probably buy it hard copy, since I like the map that comes with it :v:
You can get a hard copy from a retailer for a cheaper price than Steam with release day delivery and the free map, and since Skyrim uses Steamworks, it doesn't really make a difference. It's a win-win!
The way I see it, you could get the hardcopy with the map and the security of having a disk, or buy it off intkeys and save $25. Weigh your options.
www.gamerkeys.net Don't be a douche and get it for half the price.
Hardcopy.
I'm getting the limited edition, so hardcopy for me.
Digital. It's easier then going to the store, and searching for it.
I know I'm getting Hardcopy, because I'm going to the midnight release :v:
I would just buy it from Steam if the connection is good enough for a fast download Personally I'm buying a hard copy because my internet sucks dick
www.gamerkeys.net Don't be a douche and get it for half the price.
Is this a legitimate service? How are they able to sell the codes for these prices?
Hard copy if you can, you won't regret it. There are really no cons to that choice, other than it might be more expensive, and it costs you a trip to the store unless you get it delivered. Pro: *faster install time overall (Ex. you might be able to pre-load before it comes out on steam, but if you ever wish to re-install it will be much faster with the physical copy.) Con: *might be more expensive, also delivery time and or pickup time. Not a big deal if you plan on going to the midnight release.
I got Skyrim at EB for the same price as Steam. Also got a LOAD of free stuff.
I don't know about you, but I would at least like something physical if I'm going to be spending $60.
I'm just paying $60 for the game The only thing the extra box does is get in the way of my game
Is this a legitimate service? How are they able to sell the codes for these prices?
Yes it is. Yes it works, and yes, it IS half the price.
If you want to save money, pick whichever the is cheapest. Other than that, does it even matter? I'd go for Steam probably.
Hardcopy. There are some games you just need a hardcopy of. Skyrim is one of those games.
Just bought myself Skyrim, should keep me occupied for this year. :v: Batman AC is released on steam a week after, more or less, which i also preordered. So this, Batman AC and BF3 is gonna keep my hands full. Fuck my job!
Yes it is. Yes it works, and yes, it IS half the price.
Has anyone here tried this service, to show as a fact it works?
Hardcopy, install times is faster, and physical copies are cool.
Physical copies give me the fuzzies, whereas the eye-candy of Steam games are "meh". Even though I love Steam, I need some tactile, sentimental value in the games I play.
