Seriously? This service has been around for a few months already.
FTP? Since when?
It's a better value to just buy a 1TB hard drive and a steel fireproof/waterproof box. That's how I handle my backups. The only thing it doesn't protect me against is robbery, but you could buy a little safe and it'd still be cheaper.

Dropbox isn't FTP. Zeke129, a 1TB hard disk isn't nearly as good as dropbox. Dropbox is especially good for work because it allows you to revert back to previous revisions of the file. The function that does this in Windows 7 sometimes doesn't work. Also, OP wants people to use their referral link. Don't.
I like this service.
Also, OP wants people to use their referral link. Don't.
Why? It gets him AND you 250MB extra space.
Why? It gets him AND you 250MB extra space.
Because if Facepunch had everyone asking others to use referral links, we'd have a spam board.
there is no money utility with referral. Sorry about confuse of FTP.
Dropbox is especially good for work because it allows you to revert back to previous revisions of the file.
Just setup a local Mercurial repo for your documents folder.
Here's the biggest clock I could find, you need it.
Just setup a local Mercurial repo for your documents folder.
Which is extremely impractical for most.
Uh, and why can we not store multiple revisions of files on a hard drive?
You can, but it's not done automatically, or nearly as well as Dropbox.
