Hey guys. I've had my HTC desire c for two weeks now, but ever since the second day the screen randomly dies. This means that pressing the power button does nothing, or pressing it several times flashes the screen for a split second (it shows the unlocking dialogue). I think it's a software issue cause forcing a restart fixes it for some time. Does anyone have a similar issue and can anyone help me out? The phone hasn't even been near water, I haven't dropped it or applied pressure on it. Also sorry for lack of new lines but they don't work for me unless I am posting a quick reply.

PS: I am sorry if this is the wrong section but it seemed this is the only section for technical support.
I imagine it's still under warranty? return it.
Problem is the guys at the shops usually pull a lame excuse, like "you dropped it", "it's damaged by water" (I have had that happen with my old phone before, it hadn't been dropped nor close to water or even touched with slighly wet hands) or simply "we can't fix it".
Also warranty doesn't cover it (95% sure) cause there's no way to replicate it. It just happens at completely random times, under completely random conditions.
Sometimes it fixes itself, sometimes it requires n amount of restarts. Sorry for the bump but I really need help. When this stuff happens, I can only decline calls, not accept.
Also today I discovered that pressing the power button once turns on the touch sensors and pressing the button again flashes the screen, showing what it is supposed to (for example, the desktop if you managedto unlock it).
Bump: I have found a temp fix.
It appears this is a common issue with the brightness setting. Leaving the brightness at "Automatic" magically solves the problem.
