Hello,
I've never had problems with the steam client before, untill now.
Me and my friend was gonna play tf2 together, I had just played tf2, and then was gonna start it again and the common message, "sry the steam servers are currently busy, try some other time" came up. I tried again but same thing, so I pressed the "restart" from the steam client, and thought "a restart button, I gotta try that", then it retarted steam, I wrote in my account name and password, and then clicked log-in. then I waited for a while, watched some youtube, just while I was loging in, then it it had gone about 2-3 minutes, and I tried to open the steam log-in window but I couldent, I understood that the window had freezed so I "canceled" the process and deleted the ".blob" file located in the steam folder, then I started steam again, same thing I wrote in the acount name and password, still it freezes, I though "ow well maybe steam's servers are over-loaded" so I tried again, this time 1 day after (yesterday for me), same problem, and I still get this problem when I try to log-in, Please help me, if you know what to do, I've never had this problem before, so I have no idea what it can be.
To say the basic error is that when I try to log in it freezes and crashes.
I've tried to "repair" steam, but downloading the steam installer again and repair it no progress, like I said before I've tried deleteing the .blob file, I've tried to delete all files in the steam folder except steam.dll, steam.exe and steamapps but. *sigh* no progress. I've ran steam.exe as administator, same problem. in the steam.txt file located in the steam folder it says "CsComm Session Mar-26-2011 09:25:40.031 [480] ReconnectThread (480) Starting"'
I guess that means that it's not geting a connectiong or something, and its reconnecting... I dont know.
Please help if you can!
It's not something like your firewall blocking it automatically is it?

nah, I its not like I cant connect, it freezes after I press log in, though I've seen on the steam troubleshoot thingy help that you shoudent have norton antivirus firewall thingy. But that's the wierd thing I've never had this problem before... (thx for awnsering me)
Some of my games (Crysis 2 is a prime example) will freeze during startup if my firewall is blocking them, so I thought Steam might do too.

yeah, but as I've said its not about games its about when I start steam at all, and again I've never had this problem before, but I'll try finding the firewall (even though I havent found it before, when I searched)

Okay I've taken a look at the firewall settings, and it said that it wasnt seposed to block steam.exe, so no progress.
