That's like getting something fresh out of the package.
I always thought how cool would it be to able to buy a vintage car 'brand-new' in modern times. Kind of like an action figure never opened
That 30 year old Volvo will probably outlast most modern cars :v:
IIRC you can reverse as fast as you can drive forwards in that
A terrible car. Very weak transmission.
Sounds about how many miles it would take to drive it home from the dealership.
Why does the UK use miles
Why does the UK use miles
Too much of a pain to change, all road signs are in miles and yards, all speed limits in MPH
If I had lots of money I would most certainly buy that. I like the look Volvo's and Volkswagens from that era. That one in particular almost has the same sort of a charm a DeLorean might have, in which I mean it will have weird problems like that crappy transmission. I would mostly buy it for looks. Just like a DeLorean.

Why does Canada use kilometres when our neighbour to the south uses Miles and the UK, our mother country, uses Miles.
We're like the odd one out.

Because the imperial system is from Britain?
Same reason Americans use miles. Because we got it from the British.

gotta love the fresh smell of the 80s.
Typical britain, hoarding shit we never use and finding it 30 years later.

Because fuck everyone else. It's to catch out those pesky french when they come over here.

we only use miles to screw with the foreigners, or if the Russians invaded they would be hopelessly confused by our road signs

A friend of mine owns this exact car although it's really bust down and loud as hell but it still runs. He paid like $1500 for it.
How much are they expecting to bring from it?
Why does the UK use miles
We invented Imperial, we may as well use it.

How the hell is drinking from the bottle "gross?"
My school taught me in Metric though, I guess it's just to please those who are a bit old and can't work out what a Kilometer is and such.

drinking from a 2 liter bottle is kinda slobbish bro
drinking from a 2 liter bottle is kinda slobbish bro
I'm literally the only person who is going to drink this soda, there isn't anyone else in my house who even drinks this flavor. Constantly getting up and refilling a glass that then has to be added to the other dishes when I go to bed creates extra work that could be completely avoided by just drinking from the bottle. Furthermore, if I go somewhere that I think I'll need a drink I can take a full 2-liter and know I'll have enough to last me the entire time I'm gone. Drinking straight from the bottle also helps regulate how much I drink, because I know exactly how fast I'm going through the bottle just by looking over my shoulder.
But yeah by all means, call me a "slob" for trying to reduce the amount of dirty dishes I create on a day to day basis, that makes perfect sense.

I drink water from a old 1.75L bottle. And I drink about 4-5 times the fluid of the bottle everyday. If I was drinking the same via a regular glass, I'd be up and down night on constantly.
Why does the UK use miles
Just to annoy you :)
Why does the UK use miles
more importantly why do all the people who seem to freak out on american usage of the imperial system seem to be brits esp if they use it for the exact same shit
look at how many words you wrote denfending drinking soda straight from a 2 liter
Because God forbid I come up with several reasons just off the top of my head that drinking directly from the bottle isn't "gross."
