I think some of you probably saw my other thread.
I moved all my stuff into a brand new casing, everything is connected properly. It POSTs, but after it reaches the screen with the scrolling green bar thing (I'm using vista), the screen goes dead and says "No signal", then it reboots from the mobo splash screen and repeats.
I used a salvaged hard drive from a prebuilt PC that had mostly different specs. I can access the bios for my new computer, but that's all I can do, otherwise, it just a loop.
Quick review of sequence of events:
Power on -> Mobo splash screen -> Windows Error Recovery -> Green scrolling bar -> Screen goes 'no signal' -> Rinse and repeat
When I put in my vista installation disc in a vain attempt to repair the darn thing, it decides to BSOD - Stop error 0x0000000A IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I have completely new hardware except for a salvaged hard disk (not reformatted or anything, so I guess it has the configs for my last PC).
If I do have to format the hard drive, can anyone please share how to format it since it's an internal HDD and I don't have any other computer to plug it into apart from my laptop(s).
bad ram
My first guess would be the old Windows installation, while you can sometimes keep the OS intact when swapping a motherboard its generally not a good idea. I'd say pop the hard disk in another computer, pull important data off and just do a clean install.

Oh god no. RAM is hella expensive right now, now, the price of a 2GB stick is equal to 2x2GB from last year.

How do I do so? I don't have anymore desktops to destroy, but I've got 3 lappies waiting.

You'll either need an external hard drive enclosure or you could just bring it to a friends place and connect it to their computer.
Either bad ram or you didn't reinstall windows when you installed the new shit.
Contact the ram manufacturer you should have some form of warranty.
My classmate was kind enough to lend me his desktop for a bit. The HDD has been reformatted, currently installing W7 64bit
