Source: http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/aboutpaidcontent/
The Steam Workshop has always been a great place for sharing mods, maps, and all kinds of items that you’ve created. Now it's also a great place for selling those creations. With a new, streamlined process for listing and selling your creations, the Steam Workshop now supports buying mods directly from the Workshop, to be immediately usable in game. Discover the best new mods for your game and enable the creators to continue making new items and experiences.
My personal Opinion, this is a horrible idea. Why pay for mods? I might as well go buy all the DLC for Sims 3 right now. Yeah, really this isn't even modding anymore. It'll just be buying more DLC. Player made DLC. I think soon the garbage part of this games industry will pick this up, and before ya know it we can't even mod any of our games due to paying $5 per mod. and I KNOW, from browsing the Elder Scrolls thread that we sometimes grab alot of different mods. I guess this could be good incentive for the bigger modding teams to stick together for the sake of actual payment, but I don't want to pay up to $5 for a mod. That's just wrong to me.
