... Yeah there goes me buying this game. A real shame, too, because I was really looking forward to this.
It's as if EA wanted to be hated on purpose
Some men just want to watch the world burn.
why
Hahaha EA, no thanks, forget about my money corporate assholes.
I was semi excited for this game, now I'm just not going to pay for it.
Good thing I already hate EA.
We recognize it. We're not idiots."
Suuuuuuuuuuuure. Greedy fucks
I saw this coming.
No mod tools at launch? Yeah, right. No mod tools ever confirmed.
I'll probably get it in a sale. It'll probably take about 5 years or so for it to be in a sale though.
No mod tools at launch? Yeah, right. No mod tools ever confirmed.
Dragon age origins had amazing mod tools, not sure if it was included in launch though. By dragon age 2? No mod tools by launch and as far as I know there still aint any even though they promised ones.
Welp, they can kiss my money goodbye.
No mod tools at launch? Yeah, right. No mod tools ever confirmed.
It's gonna be the same drama as the Spore flora editor that never came out.
No mod tools at launch? Yeah, right. No mod tools ever confirmed.
That's a bit excessive, don't you think? Maxis has always been pretty good with the modding community, not to mention the game is PC exclusive. Besides, the devs seem to be swearing up and down that they're going to include mod tools, and not every game has had mod tools at launch, not even Valve games, and they're always supporting the modding community. Basically, we're all getting too far ahead of ourselves here.
... Yeah there goes me buying this game. They really aren't idiots, they know lack of moddability would hurt sales seriously. [editline]28th March 2012[/editline] The article's title is as sensationalist as it can be is all.
I wish EA didn't own maxis. Imagine simcity on steam with the mod tools using steam workshop.

Dragon age 2 has no mod tools even though they promised ones, This is EA we're talking about. They can ruin great game devs and make them greedy cunts.
No mod tools at launch is ok... but the DRM pisses me off.
Does the DRM even do anything? I'm pretty sure pirates break the always-on DRM ON release day.

Oh no, always online drm, such a shame we don't live in a modern society with internet that's capable of staying online all the time...
Well, there ARE other ways ;)
Oh no, always online drm, such a shame we don't live in a modern society with internet that's capable of staying online all the time...
Exactly. Because their servers are ass and you can be mid-game and the asshole at the exchange does a switch change and SimCity insta-quits. You know, those little things in life that make even a modern connection have reliability problems.
Oh no, always online drm, such a shame we don't live in a modern society with internet that's capable of staying online all the time...
And what of the people who can't do that huh?

Always on DRM sucks but this won't stop me from buying the game...but I probably won't buy it at launch.
