If not, then what would be a suitable machine for playing games on? I don't need everything running in ultra, and my monitor isn't even 1080p.
Seems fair enough. Atleast for my personal preference and by how you describe your own needs.
AMD Bulldozer? *shudder*
Pretty bad for the price. Nevermind Bulldozer - for the right price they aren't that bad - but the GTX 550 ti is a deal breaker. You can do a good deal better if you build it yourself.
Go for a custom build man, you will save A LOT of money and will get more bank for your buck. Even if you know nothing about computers, what parts to pick, or how to put it together, I am sure someone on this forum is willing to help.
And now for a commentary on how I read the title:
"Is this...": Ok, he's probably going to link to a build he's put together himself on Newegg or something similar, he should have really posted this in PC Building though.
"Pre-built": Sigh......
"any good?": Nope, it's a pre-built.
They're marketing a god damn 550Ti in a computer called "Gamer Extreme".
Oh and Bulldozer is a fucking disaster.
Can you build a decent sized Lego set?
If so you are capable of building a computer way better then this.

Pretty much this. The only thing that can go wrong is a compatibility issue, but even that is pretty rare. Facepunch will help you find good parts in the PC building section. Save yourself some money and get a more powerful machine, no brain-er
Its an overpriced gimmick, 8GB of RAM but they put in a crappy 550TI, :suicide:

Also forget upgrading with a single x16 PCI slot. So no SLI.
I can also guarantee from my experience at Fry's, its power supply is probably 400w and would require a upgrade if you want a good card.
Disregarding specs and price, I had a friend who ordered an iBuyPower and the graphics card was dead on arrival. Opened it up and found some screws laying in the bottom of the case. Makes me question their quality control.

IBuyPower is generally okay. Still pre-builts, but if you have to get one, they're not the worst choice.
