American travelers can wave goodbye to the X-rated X-ray scanners that once produced graphic images of passengers' bodies at airport security checkpoints. The Transportation Security Administration has finished replacing the controversial "backscatter" scanners with less intrusive machines, a spokesperson confirmed to the News. What will they do with them now?
What a great use of 80 million bucks to infringe on basic rights for some sense of safety.

Jesus christ what a colossal waste of money.
What was the purpose of them if every other scanner is supposed to work just as well?
Couldn't they have made software that would generate the cartoons instead of the naked images, instead of replacing the entire machine?
Plot twist: the originals are only being removed because they've miniaturized the technology to the point where it can be mounted on the ceiling pointing at where the "suspect" is standing, or otherwise hidden out of sight. People still get scanned, but they won't realize it this time around. It's a win for everyone except the passengers.
Cargo pants with pockets full of dragon dildos. scan me and search me boys.
Cargo pants with pockets full of dragon dildos. scan me and search me boys.
YOUR MOVE MR LAWMAN
Cargo pants with pockets full of dragon dildos. scan me and search me boys.
"Sir, we'll need you to test these dildos in front of us and these security cameras to prove they aren't hazardous. Please remove your pants and undergarments." [sp]you'd probably enjoy it, don't lie[/sp]

[sp]you'd probably enjoy it, don't lie[/sp]
but I don't actually own any, you said you'd lend them to me for this.
But they aren't mine either, I borrowed them from your mother because I thought they were just decorative sculptures. ...oh god I touched them with my bare hands I'm going to be sick
why would you borrow them if you thought they were decorati- anyway. Cool, no big scary scanners. For our next act... the TSA removes all of their personnel from the airports because they're fucking useless and are more likely to search my brother and I than anyone who might actually be a turrist. Okay, bro, now take off your Cars velcro shoes so the TSA dude can use a magnetic wand on your bob the builder overalls and make sure you aren't carrying any explosives. Be sure to show him the inside of your dora the explorer backpack, a good sized bomb can fit in there.

I don't know why people got so worked up about it, it was just a body scan to find possible danger. it's not like they were taking HD nudie pics of you to spread around on social networks or anything.

No tits for them!
Excellent, the next step in the process is to remove themselves too.
Couldn't they have made software that would generate the cartoons instead of the naked images, instead of replacing the entire machine?
I'm pretty sure that's exactly how the first ones worked. I went through security in Chicago a year or so ago with my phone in my pocket (woops), and after they called over the armed security they ran me through the scanner and I saw a low quality 3D model of a man on a display in front of me and a circle around where my phone was. [editline]1st June 2013[/editline] if they did see my dick though I genuinely couldn't care less, I'd rather people saw my cock and balls than have people blow up the flight I'm on
x-rayted scanners
Couldn't they have made software that would generate the cartoons instead of the naked images, instead of replacing the entire machine?
When I flew from Birmingham that's what tgey used
They shouldn't have been there in the first place.
My last trip they went crazy over my 4 year old brother's backpack of toys. Spent around 20 minutes searching it. Al-Qaeda just needs a few iron man figures
They'll never see it coming.
I don't mind people seeing me nekkid, it's the mandatory aspect that gets me, and who's seeing me. I don't want some fucking goon jerking off to my X-ray picture. And I especially don't want them seeing my girlfriend.
But my imagination provides me with the same kind of images. [editline]a[/editline] With a few extras...
Just be sure to have a massive hard on when you go through and you're set.
The gingerbread man that some people are saying they got at airports is the millimeter wave scanners which just put a circle or yellow the area where they think something might be
Good. Now let's take the next logical step and get rid of the TSA as well.
This is stupid. What was wrong with the full body scanners in the first place? I don't give a shit if some stranger sees a "naked" picture of me in a closed off room when the picture is deleted as soon as they clear it. It's not like they were posting the pictures on pornography websites or wanking to them. What are you too insecure to allow something that really doesn't affect you? Why aren't we all screaming to ban pat downs? Those are certainly more encroaching than some black and white image that exists for 30 seconds.
The classic "it doesnt affect me so who cares about human rights" rationalization. You're of the same crowd that is okay with being filmed 24/7 because "only criminals would care", aren't you? A person should be at liberty to agree and disagree with anything concerning himself or his body, and no irrational fear of terrorists should ever override that fact. After all; "Those who sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither".
