Let's look at a generated build order and use it forever.
Where's the fun?
I happened to encounter it earlier today. Won with 6 Zealots because the idiot just A-moved his Roaches to me and didn't micro at all. Annoying as hell though.
But then again I hate all sorts of rushes. Imo, rush is for the people who can't deal with having to multitask for longer than 10-minute sessions.
I hope Blizzard doesn't nerf Roaches or something because people whining about this.
But I do agree I despise rushes.
Brilliant.

This will have a smaller impact than you think. Program finds an awesome zerg build order. Then someone finds awesome protoss and terran build orders to counter it. If a build that is uncounterable is found, people will bug Blizz to balance and they will. Eventually all the optimal build orders will match each other in strength. After a point in any game, a build order will not help you anymore so it's not like a computer-specified set of instructions has taken over the whole game.
Getting a Bunker right behind your wallin (or as part of your wallin I guess) and putting 2 Marauders into it puts the hurt on those Roaches. Gotta watch for the Drones surrounding it so you can't repair the Bunker though.

Probably won't, Roaches could've used the buff though I would've preferred something activated instead of a blanket buff.
Normally I'd tell people I dislike to lick my balls but Rushers just won't satisfy, I prefer taking things slow.
Really awesome, we are indeed living in the future.

While the build order formula is indeed mechanical and subject to pure mathematical optimization. The strategy is on a far more complex level. His build order is beatable its just tough, knowing what your opponent is doing and how to counter it is the name of the game. This doesn't effect the strategy of the game at all, it simply shows you some of the more powerful builds that exist. Once it becomes common knowledge, the counter build for it will become common knowledge too.
And if that initial rush fails the zerg player is pretty much screwed for the rest of the game.

Actually it doesn't really leave your economy that bad off, especially compared to a 6-pool or something.

The zerg would still be behind a significant amount, letting the opponent get a stronger economy.
Though I guess it really depends on how well the rush went for the zerg.

If they went for an econ build it's pretty likely they're going to be fucked up anyway
Also it's run 4.5 million games for a 20-zergling baneling bust now. Down to 5:30.

No, you don't need to use your drones as an all-in rush if you want to play safe.
And this is why none of you (and me) will ever be as cool as science, fellow facepunchers.
