This is some Dubai-level shit
God save the queen
They'll probably only buy one and stick the rest of the sods in Astras.
Eh, it's just for an motoring exhibition to act as a talking point between the police and motorists (after which it gets returned to the dealership), and by the looks of it the dealership provided it free of charge as well, so I don't see any issue.
Of course, if this was a movie, an international criminal group would try and steal a load of the cars at the motorshow, and that copper would have use the car to chase them down, until they reach the M25 and everyone gets stuck in a five mile tailback.
That's one happy looking copper.
that is one sexy car
The wheel is on the wrong side
gosh darn it guys

I heard they drive on the wrong side of the road too
i bet they crash it
Most awesome car, best thing I've ever driven.
All I can think of whenever I see a police supercar

imagine the repair costs
Could've bought 8 30,000 quid BMW 320s. More coverage and is still faster than most.

I've never seen a Cop look so happy, the smile on his face says it all.

Faster than most but not all, the Volvos they use cost £100,000 with all the police equipment installed. Using a helicopter also costs £1,700 per hour.

Haha his face
"Cor blimey guv this is neat"
Seems a bit impractical.
Can't do any sweet manoeuvres to take out criminal cars, probably not very useful at all in the rain.
-snip- didn't read article

Read the article, the police are borrowing it for a motorshow, basically to get people to come over to their stand so they can talk to them about road safety and stuff. This isn't actually going to see use as a police car.
Waste of money.
I might be thinking of another country, but isn't 200+ mp/h useless to cops, since they aren't allowed to go over a certain speed even if the person they're pursuing is?
fucking government spending all of the WORKING MANS tax payers money on silly cars when they should be spending it getting rid of the fucking polish that are stealing all of our jobs
god bless Nick Griffin

Clearly fiction as a five mile tailback on the M25 does not exist. It's always at least 10.

They're allowed to follow for a bit, but if it becomes a full pursuit then the response cars tend to stop following, and the highway patrol cars will go after them instead, unless the driver of the response car is trained in advanced driving, I think.
With helicopter support and such, they sometimes don't bother chasing too hard, and just intercept them at the junction they try pulling off at, as it's vastly safer.
fucking government spending all of the WORKING MANS tax payers money on silly cars
And yet the police didn't buy the car.

O
-fucking snip-
I heard they drive on the wrong side of the road too
I think we're the only nation on Earth that drives on the opposite side of the road to almost everyone else and still insist that they're doing it wrong.
It would suck for players if there was a new GTA: London
I feel kinda happy for that cop. He gets to go to work and drive a sick car :v:
