So today I got out of P.E. to dress back into street garb, and what do I see in front of me? A streetlocker with no lock on it! (in case you didn't already infer, a lock is supposed to be there, to protect against theft, etc.)
"Rage," I thought "This is the second time this year."
My friend, who has no streetlocker for whatever reason, has been storing his stuff in mine all year. We both became quite angry with our current predicament, and after making repeated efforts to open our bent-up locker, it sprung open. Laying in front of us were our backpakcs, flung open and obviously rifled through.
"Damn it," I thought again "I hope they didn't steal my project."
Which is an idiotic assumption; however, I had just spent two weeks on said project. Back to the story.
Luckily for me, I had left all my valuable items at home that morning. I do not know why. But it certainly helped. My friend, much to his chagrin, did not. His phone and iPod Touch were stolen. Rage, am I right?
My lock was totaled; the shank would not lower.
This is the SECOND time this year that this has happened. The first time, I never even found the lock. The school has made no efforts to find out who is doing this. As a result, I plan on going out and buying the highest ASTM-rated lock and billing the school for it. This is another subject entirely; please do not differ from the main topic here.
So Facepunch, I come to you asking for your knowledge and/or experience of/with locks. What is the best type of lock for maximum locker security? What brand? And more importantly, can they be modified to put a megavolt of electricity through an intruder?
Thanks to all.
You can bust open either lock, but I feel safer with combination locks because key locks are tempting for lock pickers
Also, the electric shock thing sounds more like a complex security system rather than a locker room lock. And if you're in a rush and fumble the combination, you wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of electricity
I'm at level 56. :smug:
weld it shut
Just super glue a bunch of knives on it.
set it to where if it gets broken into a wooden board with a nail on it will pop out and gouge the guy in the eye.
Read it then burn it
For your eyes only

I was being sarcastic, although I certainly wouldn't mind watching whoever did this get burned to a crisp.
