Alright so,
I recently got my Hard Drive a CHDSK because of some issues explained in another thread, now we are getting closer to a fix, or I hope so.
So once again, file recovery is primary, do not suggest any jackass solutions that could corrupt or make my files unrevoverable
So here is the problem. I start up my PC, everything boots up normally. And then it tells me:
Boot.ini invalid
Some other text that I don't have time to read
It then aks if I want to boot in safe mode, safe mode + networking and ect.
I let it go, it boots windows, or it starts to.
I get the welcome screen and windows is loading. But it stop and goes in a BSOD.
The BSOD is as follows.

Now I read some articles and these two problems don't seem to be related, but I am guessing they both have to do with boot.ini .
Now I was given two solutions.
1. Recovery Console and make a FIXBOOT
This solution is to fix the BSOD which occurs AFTER my boot.ini invalid problem.
2. Recovery Console and rebuild the boot.ini file with bootcfg.exe
Now what of the two am I supposed to follow? I don't wanna screw anything up.
My files need to be safe and recoverable.
Thanks
if you are hard core look up boot.ini and rewite it
or
(in recovery console) cp <driveletter>:\<path to boot.ini> C:\windows
But which one would you recommend the most?
I don't see what your;
(in recovery console) cp <driveletter>:\<path to boot.ini> C:\windows
means
