I remember playing this point and click adventure game when I was a kid... it's been bothering me for years that I don't know what it is.
I know it was a fantasy setting.
There was an area with a witch's house on stilts, but I'm pretty sure the stilts it was on were like long bird legs.
Also remember a spot where this big guy would walk the same way you would to block you, if you messed with him, he'd kill you or something...
That's all I can really remember from it, but holy shit it's been bothering the hell out of me for years now. Figured why not find out if anyone here had played it or remembers it or even just knows of it.
Edit: Also, I know it was like slightly better than 8-bit, graphics-wise... I think.

That's Baba Yaga's hut (folklore reference), in case that helps you or anyone else -- but I don't know what game it is. Are you sure it wasn't one of the King's Quest games? Look up screenshots for the later titles (the early ones are very dated graphically) and see if something stirs.
I've googled this shit multiple times over the course of at least 10 years now. I'm like 80% sure it isn't a King's Quest game, but I'll start looking over them again.
I want to say your character is like a barbarian of some sort or something? But I could be confusing it with the big guy that blocks you in that one place... I'm pretty sure that big dude wears one of those like barbarian-type loin cloths with like straps over his chest, and I think he was black with a mohawk...
Thanks for telling me what that witch house is called, btw. I'll start using that too to see if I can find it.
Do you remember what the interface layout was? I ask because even an MS Paint sketchout of roughly where inventory/menu/minimap/etc. on the screen might jog someone's memory. Might & Magic's UI is different from KQ's which is different from Quest for Glory's, etc.

Wait, did the hut look like this?

Because if so, you're looking for Quest for Glory: Shadows of Darkness, the 4th title.

As soon as I saw this screenshot from Quest for Glory 1, after searching "baba yaga hut adventure game"...

... I felt like nostalgia punched me directly in the face.
That's insane seeing that after years of trying to find it... but now I just have to figure out who the big black dude was that would never let me walk past him, lol.

Found him.

Jesus, I feel like I've just solved a lifelong mystery.
Thanks so fuckin' much, elix.
Quest for Glory 4, Quest for Glory 1, close enough. :v:
Enjoy the nostalgia~
