So, to all of you Gentoo users out there I bring you: Chromium!
Chromium is the beat of the beat of Google Chrome. It's buggy, misses sereval features but it's functional (kinda) and realy easy to install.
So run your favorite "emerge -atv chromium-bin" and get glorified by your new browser.

It's pretty fast. Not super fast like Chrome on Windows, but it's still fast.
It uses nearly no ram at all, but the CPU load can reach 15 per process.
I hope you like it :)
Update:
You might know that Google wanted Chrome to feel like a native app on every platform it was deployed on? Well they said that and therefore they were pissed at Linux because of it's "inconsistent" user interface (Don't get me started on the user interface of Windows.).
Anyway, they decided that GTK+ was the most used (What?) so Chrome uses GTK+ for the rendering of UI elements. That would mean that all of the scrollbars, buttons etc. should look like Firefox'. I just realized that they DON'T. The UI is a mess.
I seriously don't get it, why not fucking use Qt and then use one source tree for all fucking platforms?
Not bad. You need to make it borderless and make borders yourself with integrated buttons on the top right.
I love my source build of Firefox though: Gran Paradiso.
Unfortunately linux dynamic linker is slow as balls, so I'm not sure how such a heavily cross-process application could ever run fast enough. (Cross-threads run much better)
I saw this on packages.gentoo.org a couple of days ago, but it was x86 only. Has it hit amd64 yet?
[editline]02:25PM[/editline]
Nope.
Nice. I love windows chrome and I've never been a massive Firefox fanboy (I mean, it's good, but not that good) so I might try this later. I wish Google would do an official chrome linux port.

What?

OP update
So the window manager doesn't display the bar at the top, but it looks like this:

Hey wait, never mind. I always thought the 3 buttons at the top right were in the same style as the tabs and the "Add Tab" button. Nevermind.

It's because Google wanted it to "feel home" on the Linux desktop.
What, leaving it to the WM? Makes sense.
So you ported Chromium to Linux?
AWESOME
What's the difference between Chrome and Chromium?
Chromium fucking sucks.
Chrome sucks too, but Chromium is the worst crap there is.
Care to explain why?
So you ported Chromium to Linux?
AWESOME
No, I didn't port anything. Google has always said that they will port Chrome to other platforms.
I thought it was Chromium?
Arrghhh forget it haha.
I thought it was Chromium?

Chromium is the open source base to Chrome.
Ahh I see.
Unfortunately linux dynamic linker is slow as balls, so I'm not sure how such a heavily cross-process application could ever run fast enough. (Cross-threads run much better)
Linux has always been about multiple processes rather than multiple threads, and the kernel is optimized to handle creating processes a lot better than threads.

Why can't they both be fast?
Why can't they both be fast?
Who knows? Ask Linus.
But Windows has always been about threads while Linux has always been about processes, as a programmer that's what I tend to care about when making design decisions.
Google just released Chrome (not Chromium) for Linux:

In order to get more feedback from developers, we have early developer channel versions of Google Chrome for Mac OS X and Linux, but whatever you do, please DON'T DOWNLOAD THEM! Unless of course you are a developer or take great pleasure in incomplete, unpredictable, and potentially crashing software.
How incomplete? So incomplete that, among other things , you won't yet be able to view YouTube videos, change your privacy settings, set your default search provider, or even print.
Meanwhile, we'll get back to trying to get Google Chrome on these platforms stable enough for a beta release as soon as possible!
Nice. Steam really needs to be convinced to release a Linux version. Especially with the massive increase in Indie games using Linux.

The only real problem of those is the privacy.

I don't know, Youtube is pretty serious business.
Oh and I print every day with my browser.

Watch in HD.
I can't seem to get the flash plugin to work, who here can?
[editline]07:15PM[/editline]
Oh nevermind, I got it :).
Chrome has had a .deb package for a while now that updates at least twice a week.
You can get it here(32 or 64 bit)

Oh nice. I still like using Chromium. No one watched my video :(.
I did, I wish mine was that snappy. But it's still faster than FF for me, I just have a shitty computer.
