“The margins are much better and we don’t have any rules in terms of first party approvals. From our perspective, it’s an extremely healthy platform. It’s totally conceivable it will become our biggest platform.”
Does this mean we'll get less retarded DRM?
Genius assumption guys, It's not like we were telling you this the entire time, no of course not, that would make you all idiots.
Of course they'd say this now with all the problems consoles are having at the moment.
I don't know why you guys want particular attention on the PC market. Going to be like fucking XBL or PSN on the internet, not like it hasn't happened before with "consolization" or "dlc", sure i want the market to be respected but i don't want special attention as the "biggest", fuck that.
AKA we're now going to be charging more for all PC games.

That shit isn't going to fly here because we have better and we don't have to settle for that crap.
Money is one of the reasons why I'm now more into pc gaming then Console gaming, I can by stuff for cheap over steam, but if I want a game at the store, It can cost me up to $110 AUD for a new release. Plus not a lot of good console exclusives have come out in my opinion, the last game I got for my ps3 Was Little Big Planet 2 about a two months ago.
The key-problem here are some of the publishers who enjoy the locked-down nature of consoles.
I haven't upgraded my PC for 4 years now and I don't see me upgrading for the next 2 years. It's just not worth it in my opinion. I can have fun and play games. Not the newest ones, ok, but hell, there are SO GOD DAMN MANY games out there by now.

The prices here in Aus are what made me buy from steam, it's also more convenient too
It's a win-win
this just in, ea & intel marketing department celebrate, quoted as saying: "all we had to do was have em fucking say meaningless shit about nothing and everyone ate it".

Whoa I can just tell by this reply that you're not optimistic at all.
EA officially have a place in my heart. No seriously, I approve of them now a lot more than I used to do.
EA seem to be becoming more and more appealing - they used to be like BlActivision is now
Fucking finally.
Hopefully we get some quality games now, instead of ported shit and lackluster graphics.
Good thing I've always been an exclusively PC gamer.
Glad the PC is finally getting appreciated again by big corporations.
could be, won't be.
:saddowns:
You people are so bi-polar with EA.
You people are so bi-polar with EA.
It's not just EA.
Dohoho, does this mean consoles will go back to being casual?
It seems to me that they are realizing we know piracy is a terrible excuse for shitting on PC players. And like thisispain said
"all we had to do was have em fucking say meaningless shit about nothing and everyone ate it".
Also in the interview the article links to
"I think that free to play model is coming to the west in a big way."
Oh boy, the free to play model. I just love that.
That laptop is at Disney's Pop Station, it's right by the pool.
Could be?
Is.
glad the console era is finally beginning to fade.
glad the console era is finally beginning to fade.
console's predated PC's fyi
glad the console era is finally beginning to fade.
They will fade until the next generation of consoles comes out. The cycle will go on between PC and console.
