Sounds That You Like

I thought this would be a cool topic.

Basically, there is this site where people can upload all their audio recordings for sound effects and audio/video production for free, and anyone can use it in their media. There are thousands of sounds on the site, and some people have recorded some really cool stuff.

[B][I][U]Simple steps here:[/U][/I][/B]

1. Go to [URL="http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewRandom.php"]http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewRandom.php[/URL]

2. See if you like the sound that comes up (this is the random page, you get a new random sound each time you refresh the page). The play button is a small button above the waveform.

3. If you do not like the sound, keep refreshing and playing until you find a recording that you like.

4. A little bit under the title are a few links. Click the link "permanent link" to get the actual page link to the sound you decide you like. Post that link in here.

I am a member myself, and I guess I will just post some of my sounds that I like:

[B]Back before I had a studio/professional quality microphone, I recorded a gasmask sound with my desktop mic. This is ideal for games, and it can done in source games with some knowledge of how to make certain sounds loop.[/B]

[B]P.S. - Pretty much anything that you can think of that has a sound has been recorded on here, you can find some pretty crazy stuff on here. Such as people taking shits, and doing other stuff. There are pretty funny sounds as well.[/B]

I think someone actually made a re edited version of it on the site somewhere. And yes, that sound is awesome, as well as nostalgic.

That's actually a really nice sound, just has some irritating mechanical sound in the background.
