Once suited for life, sure maybe, but you could see it from a telescope from our planet that Mars is just a big dusty deserted ol' planet.

Already seen that, it's a great watch because of the way he explains things with all the drawings. However it's full of bullshit, some thing even outright lies, and a fuckton of random fantasies are just assumed to be facts.

There's no telescope powerful enough to see a clear picture of mars from Earth, at most you see a big dot and it's moons. On the other hand, seeing a barren desert planet doesn't mean it's deserted, life could have survived underground, in caves where liquid water might still be present, or under the ice. And Mars used to have an atmosphere and used to be in the habitable zone of the solar system, so it could have developed life.
