I wasn't exactly sure where to post this, so I just dropped it in the Fast Threads section. What is your political alignment? Far Left, Left, Left leaning, Moderate, Right Leaning, Right, or Far Right. Or, for those who don't care, there is also "Don't give a shit".
Lawful Evil.
I'm Far-Left.
I just believe that as Human beings we are all born virtually equal, so it isn't fair living in a society where a child's potential is diminished because of their background.
I don't find Far-Left politics to be able to work straight away with the current people of Capitalistic society's, but I do believe a steady plan of slow change to be possible.
I'm aligned southwest.
what the fuck is moderate anyway - would you mean liberal?
I'd say far left for me
Also - for me, as an outsider, it seems as though America has no real left wing parties - I mean none that are at the forefront of elections and things, everyone is centre or centre right
Here's a political compass thing I did some time ago.

Libertarian Socialism. Far left.

If you voted this then you are an idiot.
Slightly down and to the left...

I give this answer to far too many questions.
Far left far right what's the difference?
Far left far right what's the difference?
One is on the left side of the political spectrum and the other is on the right
Leaning left. Also, I don't know because I like capitalism a lot, but I'm liberal on all social issues. It's kind of a mix.
Screw politics.
Right-leaning.
I actually don't care about this as long as it doesn't fuck me up but here in Germany we get a constant flood by muslim people and they seem to not even try to integrate, they just shit on everything and feel like kings here. I hate that and if it was up to me, I'd send them back where they came from.
Overall I don't hate other nations though, infact I like America.

I'm assuming you're trying to make the point that both sides are equally authoritarian, but "Far left" and "Far right" have a very wide range of meanings. Both anarchists and Stalinists are far-left, and both Nazis and Libertarians are far-right.
It all depends on if you want extreme capitalism or extreme socialism. Total conservative enforcement, or total collectivist enforcement. Total workers' democracies, or total capitalist freedom.
The fact that the majority of people don't give a shit about politics is worrying.
That is if you prefer a democracy over a dictatorshp.
Also the amount of communists

Political apathy is the worst of 'em all.

Like I've always been, no surprise.
Just my two cents but I think extreme left and extreme right both won't work at all.
That said, libertarian socialist.
Do people realise that libertarianism and liberalism are completely different things?

You do realise that pretty much is extreme-left? It's almost Anarchism.
Where'd you be in that diagram if you believe in a much more open, athenian-style democracy as the basis for society?
As in there is still a government, but the line between it and the people is more blurred than it is than it is now. The diagram everyone's posting doesn't really cater for that because the government could in theory control most aspects of people's lives but the government is the people in a sense, and because of that it wouldn't technically be authoritarian, and vice-versa
[editline]25th July 2012[/editline]
And imo anarchism and to an extent full-on libertarianism would only work if everyone was perfect, but obviously that's not the case

So basically mob-rule.
I am close to gandhi.
So basically mob-rule.
That would imply no sort of structured government

If the only government is the people, and it is ALL of the people, then what you are talking about is mob rule. There is no structure to what you brought up.
So apparently I'm further Left Libertarian than even Nelson Mandela, The Dalai Lama and Gandhi :v:

Just so everyone knows, the political compass position of Ghandi is actually not accurate to his beliefs, but rather accurate to his actions during the Indian independence movement.
[editline]25th July 2012[/editline]
The political compass is also somewhat inaccurate. The questions don't really cater to the extremes/far-ends of the spectrum, so most people on the far left and far right will score close to each other or very far based on a couple questions, because the survey doesn't offer any way to specify on alot of the questions. Like "The freer the market, the freer the people" could be taken as more right or more left depending on if you're a libertarian or an anarcho-syndicalist.
political compass also revealed its partisan bias in their analysis of the US election. it doesn't matter that I overall agree with it, it's unacceptable
there was one I saw a while ago that grades on 3 dimensions rather than 2 but I don't remember what it was called
