What is with all the con-cons recently First it was that minecraft convention where they gave out pens, then dashcon, now this.

To be entirely fair to Mojang, their former lead did sort of deflate after his father killed himself, sending the whole studio into a spiral of bad business decisions and a lack of driving focus. I don't think we ever expected anything more out of them than Minecraft, though, did we? They were sort of a one-trick pony. Only reason Minecraft caught on was because it hadn't really been done before, at least not quite so intuitively. (Sure, you had things like Roblox and Blockland, but neither match the simplicity of Minecraft.)

[/QUOTE] I'm not sure where this sentiment comes from, post-Notch Minecraft seems to have gotten updates more reliably than when Notch was working on it.
