I think its more the point that they are charging a subscription for something which has been ad free since it was originally made - If you paid for Win 10 (people who don't free upgrade) Would you like it to be full of "DLC" which this basically is?

If you just want solitaire you're likely better off with [URL="http://www.goodsol.com/"]this one[/URL].
It was first released 20 years ago and may seem a bit expensive, but is pretty well-made so even the old version we have runs fine on modern operating systems.
It's from the shareware era too, so there's a relatively extensive demo and no ads or anything annoying once you buy it.
There's a somewhat major catch though: Along with the old-school business model you only get (a good) two years of updates with the purchase.
(No idea about DRM. The version we have activates offline but that may or may not be the case for the new ones.)
I bet a billion dollars that Garry gets paid for having PCgamesN. I also bet he thinks they're shit.

It still comes preinstalled (or at least came with the preview) but you can get rid of it very easily now.

Sadly there doesn't seem to be any good gaming news sites left. They're all either clickbait or downright stupid.
A lot of people got butthurt about some of their opinionated pieces in the past, but I wouldn't mind having rock paper shotgun back. As I'd rather have an opinionated piece, even not my own then not picking a side on something and their satire had more effort.
Compare the depth on pcgamesn's review to rps's for example:

The worst thing about Windows 10 is a completely optional subscription to Microsoft's solitaire collection on a store which has dozens of free alternatives? That's one hell of a compliment.
