Alright so I've got an outdated CPU, mobo, and RAM. I need to upgrade by the end of the month, in order to play the new releases. I'm no expert but I've looked around and this is what I've come up with thus far. I think it's alright.

I need you guys to tell me if this is fine or not. Is there anything I should change? Are there better variants? Compatible? Etc.
I'm looking for something that's not overly expensive and can support higher settings on the newest games. $500 is the highest I'm willing to pay, but $550 if absolutely necessary.
Here's a Speccy if needed. GPU is a 5850.

Just trying to make sure before I go spend about $500.
Get a 2500K so you can overclock. You can probably get that motherboard combo'd with the 2500k to save some cash too.
Do you have an aftermarket cooler already? If you don't you can get something like the Hyper 212+ or an NH-D14
Don't know about Crucial, but here is some excellent RAM for gaming for slightly cheaper: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231276
If you're getting the non-K variant of the CPU, then a H67 motherboard is just fine and is significantly cheaper. Honestly, though, the K variant is only ten bucks more and the ability to OC it in the future is so worth it.

And the RAM you picked is pretty overpriced so get

you broke my automerge
Don't get that combo deal if you aren't going to use an SSD. Not worth the extra money.
Ofcourse it's worth it, chances are he will get an SSD in the future for his OS and it'd be a shame not to take advantage of the Z68 smart response.
Got to think to the future.
OP, do you need a $200 motherboard? Because for ~$125 you can get a MSI P67 or a Gigabyte Z68 that has 8x PCI-E slots
also there's even cheaper RAM, such as this

or this

More likely than not, he won't get the SSD. So the "future-proofing" will not pay off because by the time a new gen of mobos are released, they will have better technology and most likely cost less, in worse case be the same price.
