• Screen keeps going black

I have no idea what's going on, this problem started occurring a few days ago. I have not installed any drivers. My monitor (and computer) is almost 2 years old, just to tell you that this isn't a new monitor. It's a 24" BenQ monitor with 1920x1200 max res. So, the monitor goes black with a "No signal detected" box popping up, then goes totally black, and there's light under the monitor's power up button, which goes from green to orange. I have to restart the computer to fix this. What do? It could go black even in this moment.
Sounds like a graphics card issue. Does it happen while you're playing games?
You should make sure you have the latest drivers for your GPU installed anyways. I first thought that you might need to check your cables but then you mentioned that a restart fixes it, so it's probably a software issue. However have you done anything to the computer recently?
Yes, playing Tomb Raider: Anniversary, the screen goes black 5 minutes in. Though I doubt it's only when I play that. The screen even went black in Safe Mode, which is very strange. I downloaded the newest nVidia drivers half a hour ago, but I still get the error. And I haven't downloaded any software that could cause errors, as far as I know.

Well there are no lines across the screen. Also, sometimes the screen turns black for like 2 seconds, then goes back to normal, I have no idea what also causes that. That happens what could I say, 3-5 times in 6 hours.

If you have no error with such GPU, then it's an issue with your current one. I don't really think it could be a software issue.
Could this also result from my computer being 24/7 on, and mainly being under hard usage during the whole day? I opened my computer case and the GPU was boiling hot. Now 1 hour has passed and it's feeling a little colder.
Problem solved, the GPU was overheating, for some reason the fan did not increase its speed when the GPU got hotter, so the GPU fan was spinning on too low speed, thus causing overheating.
