• Can't get recycle bin to re-appear

Well, I wanted a clean desktop so I looked up how to hide the recycle bin. I used the following way and only this to hide it: However, it's pretty much impossible to open the recycle bin now, so I'd like to get it back. According to Microsoft's website I set it to 'Not configured' again, logged off and on, but the recycle bin still doesn't appear. How would I fix this? Only having the ability to clean up the recycle bin is very annoying.
Try going to Control Panel > Personalization > Desktop Icon Settings Make sure Recycle Bin is ticked, and refresh the desktop.
I can't find Personalization. This is what I've got in the control panel:
Oh sorry, I thought you were using Windows Vista. In that case, well I don't actually know, I haven't used XP in a while. Try RegEdit, and goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace and create this key: {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} Refersh desktop and such.
Oh my god, thank you. It worked :D
No problem babe. :v:
