• Need help deciding what to get... $700 AUD for several parts

I'll start off by admitting defeat: the last time I asked for help, I ended up just getting a GPU and some other parts. And everyone who told me "it's going to be a bottleneck!" - you were absolutely right. So here I am, a year down the line, ready to ask for more help. This is my current build: CPU: AMD Phenom I 9500 Processor Motherboard: ASUS M2N32-SLI Motherboard Memory: 4G Kit G.Skill NT DDR2-800 Memory Video Card: MSI Radeon HD 6870 1GB Video Card Hard Drive: Samsung F3 1TB Hard Drive: Samsung F3 1TB Hard Drive: Seagate 500GB Case: Generic "Gigatech" case Power Supply: Coolermaster Extreme Power+ 500 The Phenom was a donation to keep me going (my previous E6300 began to crap itself), but it's severely mismatched right now. Anything I do has several seconds of lag to it, making things unbearable. This is what I'm planning on now: CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor [tab]$229.00[/tab] Motherboard: ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard [tab]Already own[/tab] Memory: Kingston HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory [tab]$55.00[/tab] Video Card: MSI Radeon HD 6870 1GB Video Card [tab]Already own[/tab] Hard Drive: Crucial M4 64GB 2.5" Solid State Disk [tab]$139.00[/tab] Hard Drive: Samsung F3 1TB [tab]Already own[/tab] Hard Drive: Samsung F3 1TB [tab]Already own[/tab] Hard Drive: Seagate 500GB [tab]Already own[/tab] Case: Corsair Carbide 500R White ATX Mid Tower Case [tab]$159.00[/tab] Power Supply: Corsair HX650W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply [tab]$134.00[/tab] Total [tab]$716.00[/tab] Here's where I might need some help: Crucial M4: while I hear the Crucial M4 is a great SSD, the Vertex 3 is $20 less; I'm looking for some guidance here. Corsair Carbide 500R: it looks great, it has a great build quality, and it's a (relatively) cheap case from Corsair. For $20 less, I can get the Fractal Design Define R3, which is just as functional and high-quality... so again, looking for some opinion or guidance here. I'm going to be buying the SSD from PC Case Gear as they have the wider range of SSDs, but everything else will be bought from MSY. With that in mind, does anyone have any other recommendations they have? I'm looking for the best results for the lowest amount of money - speed, heat and sound.
I'd get the Crucial M4. Marvell based drives are more reliable than Sandforce ones, and if your data is incompressible your performance wont take a dive with a drive using a Marvell controller. I'm not very experienced when it comes to cases, so I can't comment on if the R3 is better, but I am a fan of Corsairs mid tower lineup which includes the 500R.
