This game [editline]10th September 2012[/editline] Sounds awesome but loading screens in open world seems weird.
This game [editline]10th September 2012[/editline] Sounds awesome but loading screens in open world seems weird.
I feel like you get extracted to different parts of the world and these have loading screens.
I mean GTA had loading screens back in the vice city days. You'd have that little pop up screen/overlay. I wouldn't mind especially since this game is most likely more complex than any other open world game. Another reason I wouldn't mind if it did have loading screens in the middle of playing is because its Metal Gear Solid in an open world! I mean transitioning in the other games had loading screens..
Loading screens would be fine if they do it properly. I don't want to be running from an enemy then suddenly get his with a loading screen. Something like going through doors to another area or something would be best.
Either it's loading screens between different areas like in MGS3 just on a grander scale or loading between major points of the game AKA moving between countries which is so far being implied ever so slightly.

What if the rain makes his box all soggy.

It will be on PC
Please be on PC, please be on PC, please be on PC...
I recall that the gameplay footage ran on the PC. The engine is cross platform too.
It's not impossible for a game to be demo'd on the PC and then afterwards released on the consoles only.
It's not impossible for a game to be demo'd on the PC and then afterwards released on the consoles only.
I would like to see this on PC, as I've played every other MGS and loved them all, but I don't want to miss out on this one just because I no longer have a console. Having it already running on a PC as it seems to be, then deciding not to release it on PC seems kinda counter-intuitive.
Yeah, they said it was running on a mid-spec PC, but I'm still worried it was just for showing the tech.
Searching the internet for a bit revealed a bunch of articles that back when they were hiring people for Ground Zeroes in February, the game was "targeted for high-end consoles and PC" and the much-touted Fox Engine allows them to easily develop for Xbox/PS3/PC so while a PC release hasn't been confirmed yet, it at least looks plausible. Naturally they may suddenly decide to drop it like how MGS Rising was supposed to be for PC/Xbox/PS3 but then the PC version became a thing they'll consider after release on the consoles.
