That's why I'm asking you guys. I just need to know what will give me the best performance in games. If you guys can recommend any other cards that you guys think is better for gaming that is around $175-$225 please do. Don't care about overclocking unless its factory overclocked(Witch I would Prefer). Don't care really care about the warranties. And I'm Upgrading from an EVGA 9800GTX+
And I'm Upgrading from an EVGA 9800GTX+
you're going to see very little difference, it's not worth upgrading

and if it wasn't going to be a pointless tiny upgrade, you'd go for http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150462&cm_re=5770-_-14-150-462-_-Product and move a few sliders in one of many programs to get the same result
Either save up some more money for a better card or get another 9800
The gtx 260 is the same as a 9800gtx+. Save up enough money for a 5850 and then that will be an upgrade.
it's the same as the GTS 250 not the 260, but the difference isn't worth $200
it's the same as the GTS 250 not the 260, but the difference isn't worth $200
Ohh yeah dam it. But agree on the not being worth it.
Well, I guess I got my answer. Thanks for replying. I guess I'll save up and buy a high end card, maybe a 300 or 400 series card.

Wait until the Direct X 11 cards come out for Nvidia.

Get the PNY GTX 260 Core 216. I have it, at my native resolution (1280x1024) I can play Crysis at max without AA. High with max AA.
1280x1024 isn't at all impressive not for the last 4 years

Get a 4890 or 5770.
where's :ughh: when you need it
Now now, the 4890 is actually faster if I recall correctly. But yes, the only real upgrades are 280 and 5870 ish.
I would save up for a 5850
Now now, the 4890 is actually faster if I recall correctly. But yes, the only real upgrades are 280 and 5870 ish.
4890 is like a GTX 285, that's a huge upgrade from what he has.
4890 is like a GTX 285, that's a huge upgrade from what he has.
No. a 4890 ~ gtx 275
No. a 4890 ~ gtx 275
God will you just shut the fuck up and stop posting.

That the 4890 is beat by the gtx 285. Thanks. Also http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/gaming-graphics-cards-charts-2009-high-quality-update-3/compare,1700.html?prod[3197]=on&prod[3260]=on Actually statistics that back my argument. Maybe if you weren't as nearsighted as a fly you'd realize you can simply move a couple of sliders in CCC and you have yourself a GTX 285. GTX 275s are $250 or more by the way, good job being a fucking retard once again.

I never said the gtx 275 was a good option I just said that it is what the 4890 is on par with. Also it would take a shitload of overclocking to make the 4890= to the gtx 285.

You can't overclock either of the NVIDIA cards near to the amount you can overclock the 4890. In the end you'll have a fully overclocked GTX 285 ($350) pulling 2 or 3 more frames than a fully overclocked 4890, with a GTX 275 somewhere 5-8 FPS behind. [editline]12:36PM[/editline] Do you try to be stupid on purpose or are you just that way?

It performs around a gtx 280. This is a best case senerio because sapphire selects those gpus for their low heat output and overclock ability. So the best possible 4890 is comparable to a gtx 280. Now tell me how does your magical touch overclock your card to 1100 mhz+ that would be needed to equal the gtx 258. finally Yes you overclock the gtx 285 and no in mhz they will not overclock as higher but nvidia cards operate at lower mhz and put out the same performance because of a different architecture. So please when you try and pull overclocking in the how a card is = to another think that you can overclock both.
