Looking for a space game to play without a mouse.

I'm currently on my lowspec 2005'er laptop without a proper mouse and I'm looking for space themed games I can play. I bought the X super box in the steam sale and I'll attempt to get into X2 soon, but it'd be my 4th attempt to get into an X game and I doubt I'll grasp it this time, and I thought, there have to be some simulation or strategy type games out there, probably old ones, that don't require massive power and don't require a mouse.

You get the idea. Look for old games, clones/modern takes of them, or indie offerings.
