• Bamboo Pen tablet issues - lagging pen

I've had a Bamboo Pen for the past couple of months and it was worked perfectly up until today. I plugged it in for work in CS5 today, only to find that the pen movements had been reversed - up was down, left was right etc. I checked that it was still set to left-handed, which it was, and then decided to revert all the settings and preferences to default. This solved the issues. Things got more complicated, however, when I found that the pen had started to lag. There is now a half-second delay whenever I press the pen to the tablet, which makes painting very frustrating and difficult. I followed the advice of the Bamboo help documentation in messing with the double-click settings and such to solve the problem but this didn't work. I uninstalled the tablet and reinstalled it with the latest drivers (November 2010) but the problem still persists. Also, since reinstalling, the "help" button from the Bamboo preferences program has disappeared, which isn't exactly helpful. Anyone got any ideas? NB: Windows Vista x64 if that makes a difference.
Sounds like CS5 lagging, and not the tablet.

Are you sure the pen isn't a stylus? many styluses have AAAA batteries in them that when the voltage gets low enough, they start behaving erratically.
I can't quite think of a good reason for that to happen. Have you tried another USB port?
I know exactly what the problem is. You reset it to default, which gives the pen a "hold to right click" option. Go to control panel, tablet and click off "hold to right click". That should do the trick. If it doesn't, I have no fucking clue.

It could be it's not getting enough power from where it's currently plugged into.
