I think you've got a bigger issue when it's a fact that kids will apparently stop drinking milk if it isn't smothered with chocolate and sugar.

That's perfectly normal though, not everyone likes the taste of milk.

We should not be encouraging the consumption of milk, at all. It is not as if it is the only source of calcium or even the best. Most commercial milk, even plain milk, contains amounts of sugar and fat that can't be justified by the calcium benefit. Eat dark greens instead.

Someone clearly doesn't have kids.

At my age, I'd sure hope not. :v:
My point is that people treat milk as if there are no health concerns that can be attributed to it. That's simply not true.
I mis-read the headline at first and thought he was drinking chocolate milk while voting to ban it in schools, and that he was just being a ridiculously evil bastard. :v:

Does skim milk not exist in the US?
Anything in excessive quantities can cause problems. Even drinking too much water can kill you. But milk consumed as part of a balanced diet is not bad at all.

and then there are the people who treat it as if it had no health benefits
if you're worried about high lactose/fat content then there are ~options~
I read that as votes instead of vetoes at first and I though about how evil that would have been.

I don't think America's politicians have reached disney/foodfight levels of evil yet.
Ugh don't remind me of that film, I still have PTSD about that fucking greasy weasel.
Also, if there's one way to be a badass and say FUCK YOU to this kind of bill, it is to drink chocolate milk after vetoing it. Only way it could be better would be if he drank it in the courtroom after saying something like "I do not approve of this legislation" and then take a defiant victory swig.
Clearly Gov. Dannel Malloy is in Nestlé Global and Big dairy's pocket. The chocolate milk lobby has gone too far this time!

If you don't think that chocolate milk is the tightest shit, then you have a serious problem.
Not that milk is the evil of all evils, but valid nonetheless.

I remember being in elementary school, and only able to have chocolate milk on Fridays.
Had to drink the nasty "normal" milk all week that was pretty much water with a shitty taste, or the orange juice that was usually frozen solid in the container.

It does but it's not really milk. Kids dont' want to drink it.
I was never a huge fan of chocolate milk. 2% reduced fat all day every day.

You mean water with white food coloring?
Because I'd rather just suffice for 2% or whole milk if that's the case. You may as well be drinking powdered milk with salt if you drink skim milk here.
I love milk. Chocolate milk is also my favorite beverage.
Also people that are against milk saying "lol no other animal drinks milk from other animals"
well no other animal wears clothes and drives cars so why don't you walk to work naked.

I can't stand normal milk, yet I've been told I seriously need more of it by my doctor. So chocolate milk is perfect.

At no point does this video mention strength training. It makes sense that in sedentary adults that bone density would not differ substantially with or without calcium supplementation, but regular resistance training would cause the micro fractures that would cause bone to become stronger. I want to see a study consisting of people told to do regular strength training with one group on placebo and the other group supplementing calcium, both with the proper amounts of vitamins d and k.
I will agree that milk is not a magic bullet but it's still a cheap and healthy way to get nutrition. I'm drinking between a quart and a half gallon a day to help gain weight.

Well they do have a point, milk is calorie laden and can be dangerous in large quantities but no one seems to realise this.
I can't stand regular milk, having been basically "raised" on skim milk.
I was drinking regular milk while reading this thread but my mind expected chocolate milk and now I'm really bummed
i'll keep drinking whole milk as long as it tastes so good

chocolate milk is over-rated
