So i turned on my comp this morning, and it kept on crashing at the part where it shows the animation of the windows flashing. So i installed a fresh coppy on my other hdd i had and wasnt using in there, and its fine. Now, how can i get files off the old hdd? I think the file system table (partition table?) is corrupted, is there a way i can still get my shit off it?

You can boot from a live cd and transfer your shit to a flash drive to save your stuff.
