Been trying to find a new series to get into. I've seen quite a few so far and am starting to run out of ones that catch my interest. Here are some of my top shows I have seen. Breaking Bad - Probably everyone's first answer for this thread once they enter. I've seen the series 3 times already and right behind season 5, currently. Dexter - Loved this show until after season 4, it turned into utter shit. Hoping 7 will bring back what it use to be. Prison Break - Started out very good, but near the middle of season 2 it started becoming extremely dull. Still finished the whole series though. Game of Thrones - Fucking incredible show. Oz - Was a good show, but it started getting very repetitive and always depressing. Never ever a happy ending. Lost - I liked the show for a while but half way through the series it started getting really dumb, adding in more and more shit to throw you off. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - Funniest show on television. Seen every episode more than any show I've ever watched. Arrested Development - Extremely funny show, seen the whole series about ten times now. Walking Dead - Pretty good series. Does get a bit slow at times for me. The Office - I liked this show for a while, but once Michael left it got really bad. Firefly - Everyone likes this series, too bad it's only one season. 24 - I only watched one season of this, I didn't find it appealing any longer because it felt way to slow since the show was going by each hour every episode. Futurama - One of those shows you can watch over and over even if you don't laugh. South Park - Always a good show to watch, especially the older episodes.
Breaking bad obviously. That last episode was awesome!
Adventure Time
Six Feet Under Sopranos Rome
Dead Like Me Pushing Daisies Community
Trailer Park Boys - Absolute brilliant writing and acting. One of the most hilarious Tv shows I have ever seen. It's all on Netflix too.
Doctor Who
Friday Night Lights Parks & Rec

When I first watched the show without reading a single thing on it, I was convinced it was real until I got more into it. Everyone has chemistry in the entire show. Seen the whole series quite a few times.
Oh, Misfits is another great one.
I also enjoyed quite a few non-American shows that I've watched on Hulu lately. Peep Show The Librarians The Spy That Mitchell and Webb Look (The guys from peep show. Took a few episodes to get into it, but the skits get pretty funny)
Babylon 5 - very serialized scifi show that takes place primarily on a diplomatic space station and crazy god damned shit happens leading up to one of the best series finales I have ever seen next to Six Feet Under's, it follows an almost novelized format. Farscape - follows a group of prisoners and a wayward human astronaut on a biomechanoid ship, hilarious and epic in scope... if you liked Firefly, you'll probably love this. Stargate SG-1 - humans discover a portal device and use it to visit other worlds and get involved in space affairs, gets seriously good in season 2 onward. The Wire - probably the best crime show ever created, each season focuses on a different aspect of the Baltimore drug trade.(cops, docks, politics, school, news) Once Upon A Time - if you liked Lost and can tolerate a somewhat girly fairy tale atmosphere, you'll probably dig this. Basically, every fairy tale character exists in one world and then they get sent to our world with no recollection of their fantasy lineage, tons of mystery in it and it's very serialized. Gilmore Girls - honestly, this is my ultimate guilty pleasure/feel good good show. It's as girly as it gets, but it's so well written and infectiously charming that I can't help but love it. The dialogue and banter between everyone is just so amazing. Supernatural - hilarious, spooky, charming, and action packed show about two brothers that are essentially monster hunters, they get involved in some really crazy shit that reaches biblical proportions and it just has amazing story arcs that span several seasons. Buffy - high school girl turned vampire(well everything really) slayer, the thing makes the show work is how well written it is, the dialogue is amazing and the arcs are doubly so. Features an episode that manage to make me cry like a bitch. Angel - I actually prefer this over Buffy, it's a spinoff that focuses on the enigmatic vampire Angel as he goes about his own exploits involving his self made detective agency in Los Angeles. It's darker but still just as funny, it was cancelled just as it was hitting its stride with the seriously amazing 5th season. Chuck - totally tongue in cheek geek turned spy series with a cast of insanely charming characters and it follows two stories for the first few seasons (Chuck's spy life and his life as an employee in a Best Buy Geek Squad type job), it's got a nice helping of story arcs but honestly, they aren't that great. I watched it because it was just seriously fun. Carnivale - follows a travelling circus during the Great Depression, crazy shit happens. Cancelled after 2 seasons unfortunately, still so very worth watching though. Spartacus - a nice replacement for Rome, follows the life of gladiators and their eventual uprising. Veronica Mars - very Whedon-esque high school/college noire show following Kristen Bell as a kid detective. The continuity throughout the show is just astoundingly great, the writers never missed a beat. Nikita - I actually only watched the first 3 episodes and haven't gotten around to seeing more due to no time but I can tell it's going to be fantastic. Basically a spy show full of tons of twists and turns and it's heavily serialized. Alias - by Lost creator J.J. Abrams, another spy show but it's ridiculously stylish and follows Jennifer Garner as a double agent that gets into all sorts of crazy mischief involving Da Vinci-inspired artifacts and devices. Full of twists and mystery. Most of these are either pretty serialized, have fantastic story arcs, or feature entire casts that just work so god damned well together.
I've just started watching Spaced, I think it's going to be good too.
Babylon 5 Farscape Stargate SG-1 The Wire Once Upon A Time Gilmore Girls Supernatural Buffy Angel Chuck Carnivale Spartacus Veronica Mars Nikita Alias
Loved Spartacus, never did want to continue with the series once Andy died though. He was perfect for the role. :/
I also loved The Booth at the End, but I'm not entirely sure if that counts?
Loved Spartacus, never did want to continue with the series once Andy died though. He was perfect for the role. :/
It's so worth it. The new guy is actually really, really good. Andy's death was immensely upsetting though, guy had such a promising future.
Nah, the latest was one of "those" episodes.
I guess, but the one where they [sp]stole the methylamine from the train[/sp] was fucking awesome.
I just started watching Wilfred and I really like it. Although it is very strange at times.
Generation Kill. Really cool miniseries, and just read the book and it's cooler :v: [editline]20th August 2012[/editline] Also Sherlock, the new one. Fucking amazing.
Adventure Time
No.
Everyone should watch at least one episode of metalocalypse.
Spongebob Squarepants if you somehow have not yet. Gravity Falls because it is fucking awesome
No.
Adventure time is actually not that bad at all. I watched a few episodes with my sister and it was hilarious. Reminded me of Youtube poops.
Where is the love for Fringe? Awesome show.
Where is the love for Fringe? Awesome show.
I am ashamed at myself for forgetting it.
The Wire. This series deserves so much recognition. Everything about it makes you wanting more. It covers the gangs, the police, politicians, schools, the industries of Baltimore in such gritty and satisfying detail while making every minute of it genuinely interesting. The simpsons. And not only partially, I mean the entire thing. I know the series has went downhill and it's kind of the point of watching it entirely : The Simpsons is a long and strange adventure that started off rather obscurely, then got incredibly good from season 3rd to more or less any season after the movie, after which it got more and more average. It's really interesting to see how a series got from creating pop culture references to referencing them. Second I'd recommend Futurama, because it is what the most recent seasons of the simpsons should have been. It's may not be as influential as the simpsons, but it still has an interesting take on society and science fiction comedy, and is really worth watching. Then I'd say Game of Thrones, just because game of thrones. Go watch it.
Off The Air no need for drugs, just watch this. ALSO a very great collection of video art.
