Im going to be needing a new gaming rig, I travel alot so I figure a laptop is good for me. I am looking in the $1600 USD budget range. I found the MSI GS 70 http://www.msi.com/product/nb/GS70_STEALTH.html#overview It seems like the computer of my dreams, is it? Is the windows 8 on it going to set me back in terms of processor speed. and would downgrading to windows 7 be smart? and is this laptop good?
Windows 8 is fine, I don't know a whole lot about mobile GPU's though but afaik the 765 is still pretty good, as long as you don't expect titan levels of performance. [editline]22nd March 2014[/editline] Also, there's no such thing as a laptop that isn't prebuilt. :v:
It's a very good laptop, but I would get the 15.6 inch one with the 860M gpu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152477 (you have to select it yourself) Though there's an interesting offer for the 17 inch with the 765m where you get a free 50" tv if you want that lol http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152477 Also windows 8 has better performances than 7, idk what you're talking about with downgrading lol E: there's also this 17inch with a 770m (comparable to the 860, tho the 860 is newer) but with no SSD http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00COQIKKA/?tag=linustechtips#productDetails
God damn free 50" LED tv when you buy a laptop.
