I expected the torch relay to be a bit more majestic.
By the time it reaches the destination it would probably have been lit by a dozen random russians on the street with a lighter.

You do realize that the olympic torch goes out during the relay on nearly every single olympic games, right? It went out several times during the 2010 olympic games, the 2012 london olympic relay it went out a few times etc. etc. people are just acting as if it's a sign that the russians are shitty when it honestly happens all the time

Obviously the solution here is a white-hot chunk of metal in the top of it with a wick-like material to make a visible flame. Try putting that out.
