Well, shitty deal. Ottawa Bluesfest is in full swing (big music festival). Cheap Trick was on stage, storm rolled in, and the stage collapsed.
The main stage collapsed at Bluesfest Sunday night around 7:20 p.m., moments after Cheap Trick members left the stage due to an intense storm.
An OBJ staff member on site saw the main stage torn apart, with the canopy blown across the field just in front of the stage.
Wind gusted under the canopy like an umbrella and toppled it, leaving behind a wreck of fabric and twisted metal.
Crowds were evacuated into the parking garage of the adjacent Canadian War Museum before being ushered off site.
"Fire crews and police are checking beneath stage and so far no one found. Appears everyone made it out safely," the Ottawa fire service wrote on Twitter just before 8 p.m.
Twenty minutes later, the service wrote a second search underneath the canopy confirmed nobody was trapped.
On Twitter, Bluesfest officials said no serious injuries occurred as a result of the collapse, and that remaining programming for the festival is cancelled.
Environment Canada hds a thunderstorm warning in effect for Ottawa, saying winds are averaging 90 kilometres per hour and wind gusts are possible of up to 140 kilometres an hour.
The storm also downed trees and periodically knocked out power across Ottawa.
Bluesfest draws an average of 250,000 people during its two-week run. Sunday was the closing night of the 10-day festival.
Other reports say nobody has been found in the collapsed area so far.

Hope everyone's ok
I think when they mean break down I don't think they mean it literally.
Guess they are broke.
Where 'dem vids at?
90km winds?
A more appropriate song to be playing there would have been Dust in the Wind by Kansas.
They really brought the house down with that show.
But seriously, I live less than an hour from LeBreton and the weather was terrible here.
i know the lead singer/rhythm guitarist
