It is all in the title of the thread. The apple section is a bit dead so thought fast threads would be the way to go. I want to download an mp3 from the internet and place it in my music library ALL JUST ON MY IPOD TOUCH. I'm staggered if something like this doesn't exist. Cheers
Err, the Apple iTunes app that comes stock with it.
Wow.... Okay, intelligant facepunchers this time? [editline]10:11PM[/editline] I just need to know, that I can download an MP3 using my ipod and place it in my library with ease, all without a computer :v:
Erm, there was one like 2 years ago caled iSlsk, which was a p2p for Touch/Phone (back before the shitty App Store). I don't know if it is still out, though, because I sold my touch like a year ago. http://iphonefreakz.com/2008/05/14/islsk-p2p-music-sharing-on-your-iphone-or-ipod-touch/
Currently, no third party apps can edit your iPod music library. This is probably done to prevent music sharing or whatever. The only solutions I know other than iTunes that let you put music on (or take music off) your iPod are computer applications. Most alternative music apps make their own libraries, but it's impossible to transfer music from your computer to those libraries. One such app is dTunes.
dTunes. I think this I what you're asking. You can download mp3s from it's built in Web browser (or movies / torrents (though torrents are hard to set up)) and it goes into it's separate "dTunes" 'partition' where only dTunes can access these files. But it can't change the directory of the download to your other music so you need to have one library of iTunes and one of dTunes. Look for it in Cydia.
Yeah i already knew about dTunes. Thanks for the contribution. I didn't know it was THAT restricted.
