So is this a pass?
I payed £25 for this. Pass it seriously.
I actually liked the first one a lot but this one was pretty bad. It was way shorter, far less fun, way more repetitive and was overall pretty boring. If you do want to play a Kane & Lynch game, play the first one.
I'd probably wait until it's £3.75 in the summer sale. It's a really not worth much more than that.
don't buy this game it sucks
I paid $5 for it and thought it was cool at first, and then replayed a level and thought it was complete crap. Pass.
I sorta liked some of it actually. Gameplay wise it had serious flaws, but the gritty style and depressing realism is something I really enjoyed. It felt a bit like watching a real video clip from a cell phone on liveleak or something. Or perhaps maybe like playing a dogma film, because of the hand-held camera style. Plus the characters were waaay more interesting than your usual clichéd, boring pumped up muscle "gears of war" hero.
maybe if it was 100% off
I really like the characters, but the gameplay and just about everything else is terrible. I've played both of them, and I really want to like them, but they make it incredibly difficult to do that.
I remember playing the MP demo, i thought that was pretty fun. The full release of it, isn't?
Still not worth it
I remember playing the MP demo, i thought that was pretty fun. The full release of it, isn't?
Its an atrocity. The MP was laggy as shit and no one played it correctly. The SP gameplay is nothing but generic cover shooting with the odd cutscene thrown in. The only possible thing I could say I liked about it was how some of the levels looked and the atmosphere.
This game is very depressing with its atmosphere and all. Gameplay wise, it at least didn't have the annoying sound, graphics and AI glitches from the first game. The story (mainly of the first one though) and characters are very interesting though.

It also had some pretty unique multiplayer modes. Too bad it died out incredibly fast. The SP isn't anything remarkable. [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] The matchmaking killed multiplayer. Instead of being able to find a group yourself, you'd sometimes be stuck waiting for ten minutes for other people to get matched up with you.

Once you pass the 4 hour campaign, all that's left is multiplayer. And multiplayer is FUCKING DEAD.
I am one of the 3 people in the nation that liked it.
I liked the first game for what it was, but the second game was just utter bullshit. I got it for free, so luckily I didn't waste any money, but oh my god what a giant shitpile of a sequel. Barely 4 hours long, boring story, shit ending, never even tried multiplayer. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I am one of the 3 people in the nation that liked it.
Put 4 in there, I'm in. Hell, I even pre ordered the game at full price, and bought all of the DLC when it released. I still play it to this day with a group of friends. 71+ hours and still going. The multiplayer is just way to addicting... EDIT:
I liked the first game for what it was, but the second game was just utter bullshit. I remember this game... Oh god, the camera shake and effects.

I also agree multiplayer was addicting. Just not knowing who to trust made it a cool experience in my book but hey that's just what I think.
shit ending
Shit ending? This was one of the shittiest endings ever!
playing it coop is a fucking blast. can't wait for the 3rd. It's more of a rent game, but if you have a buddy to play with and a big enough monitor, get this.
