Apparently they need to start making actual games instead of just paying licensing fees and then putting out half assed visual novels.
Yeah, they started off strong, but as soon as they made a lot of money they started pumping out sub-par products with whatever they could get their hands on with very little quality or overall evolution in game mechanics, all practically using the same system to them with only the I.Ps really differentiating them. Like, if they had stuck to a few products, like just stuck with the Walking Dead, upgraded the engine every new season and actually made the game evolve around your choices instead of lie and make linear as fuck "experiences", they could very well have expanded on that and made a few great games instead of 50 mediocre glorified text adventures. [editline]edit[/editline] But no, they had to bite off more than they could chew for that short term money pile instead of thinking about the long term and that lack of foresight will hopefully bite them in the ass further unless they improve.
They deserve it. Walking Dead Season 3 is inexcusable. [editline]7th November 2017[/editline] Wait that came out wrong [editline]7th November 2017[/editline] People don't deserve to lose their jobs but Telltale really deserved the wake-up call
People don't deserve to lose their jobs but Telltale really deserved the wake-up call
I mean, if people do a shit job then you sort of expect them to loose their jobs.
wheres sam and max season 4 i'll lay off the other three quarters of the staff myself you motherfuckers
wheres sam and max season 4 i'll lay off the other three quarters of the staff myself you motherfuckers
To be honest, I wouldn't want another season of Sam and Max from current Telltale.
I mean, if people do a shit job then you sort of expect them to loose their jobs.
I sincerely doubt a texture artist or story crafter has much say on what is picked and why, at least I've never worked anywhere where anyone but senior and I mean senior people in those depts had any kind of veto power over what type of product gets made.
They honestly haven't evolved in the slightest since Walking Dead you might even be able to argue they didn't evolve much even since pre-WD, you could even very easily argue that they've actually regressed. They're quite literally locked in place, going absolutely no where and writing stories that mean nothing at all
