Paranormal Activity or The Lovely Bones. Opinions on the movies people.

Okay well I was wondering what everyones opinion is on those two movies in the thread title is. I've heard bad things about Paranormal Activity and my partner has heard bad things about The Lovely Bones. We're going to the movies tomorrow and not too sure on which one to see out of those two.

So it would be much appreciated if you guys could give some opinions about the movies with some detail to why it's good or why it's crap etc.

I haven't seen the Lovely Bones. But I can tell you right here, right now.
Fuck Paranormal Activity, it's not interesting, and it's not scary! Every second of it is boring, it only gets exciting near the end, which is probably the most scariest part of the movie, actually the only scary part of the movie.

I don't get how people actually got scared of that shit. And I thought I get easily scared!

I got told pretty much the exact same thing about this movie earlier on today. But the thing is that I've been told Paranormal Activity basically sucks from a couple of my friends and he's been told that The Lovely Bones sucks from a couple of his friends. Also we're going with a group and everyone wants to see the "scary" one even I did but now I'm not sure I want to see it because of I what I got told today. I know it's entirely up to me in the end but still I would like to hear some more opinions.

I hated Paranormal Activity with a passion, everyone was like, OMG ITS SO SCARY, so i go expecting to cry by the end of it.
Got so bored.

Nothing scary about it, it's 2 stupid people running around with a camera like OMG, NOISE, AHH THE DOOR MOVED, AHHH DON'T GO DOWNSTAIRS, OMG EXORCIST HALP ME.
It's stupid.

You needed to see Paranormal Activity back when it was new and people hadn't hyped it up. I saw it in a theater where most people didn't know what to expect and it was awesome, people were scared shitless.

About a week after that the backlash started, the "that's not scary" tough guys started showing up. If you see it now there's no way it'll have the same impact, you'll be thinking about all the nitpicking you've heard.

Lovely Bones sucks and has since the day it came out. No one has ever thought that was a good movie.

Thanks guys, I read some reviews last night about both movies and they're basically even with star ratings and stuff so I'm going to talk to my friends this morning to see which one they'll like to see.

Paranormal Activity was alright but it wasn't scary. I haven't seen the Lovely Bones.
