I am still a bit of newb and thought of asking what is the limit of time to post to a thread?
there is none. You'll get banned for it though.
I am still a bit of newb and thought of asking what is the limit of time to post to a thread?
It varies on the section. I'd say, 2 weeks or Page 5, whichever comes last.
I don't think it's allowed. If your thread is interesting, it will stay alive. If it dies, we want it to.
I thought it depended on the bump's intention and as long as it's not a stupidly large one like a year.
there is none. You'll get banned for it though.
Not really, it's more likely the person that complains about the bump that gets banned instead of the guy who originally bumped it.
Just use common sense. I never bump anything older than a week.
Anything less than a week should be good. No self-bumping though.
It depends on if you're actually contibuting to the thread or just bumping to say "lol" or some shit.
If it's relevant you can bump.
Also bump old threads rather than making new ones. If you have a problem with oblivion crashing don't make a thread about it, bump the oblivion thread even if it's been dead for a while.
I needed to know this as well. Thanks.
If you have something relevant to say I don't see why a multiyear bump shouldn't be ok. But then it'd better be damn well bloody relevant.
When in doubt, ask a mod
There is no set time. I think like, a week is still alright, three weeks is pushing it, but anything over a month is heading into the danger zone
if you bump for the sole purpose of bumping you get banned if you bump with something that contributes to the discussion, nobody cares it's not a bump.
don't bump and you don't have to worry. irony is that this is a one day bump...
Only thing that should be allowed to be bumped over a week old is the "Type a message for you see in 2011" and even that shouldn't be bumped till 2011.
Depends on Content.
Not really, it's more likely the person that complains about the bump that gets banned instead of the guy who originally bumped it.
You have obviously never seen me rage on people bumping year old threads then i assume.
