Find out what the meaning of life is.
This doesn't belong in this forum. Anyway, the meaning of life is to pursue the advancement of the human race.
There is no finite meaning to life. We're not an instinctualy driven species with one set goal; This is the gift of being sentient. Each individual has their own goal created by their own thoughts and feelings. the meaning of my life is simply to improve the lives of others before my own.
fuck bitches, get money
I really don't see how this is debatable, everyone is going to have their own meaning (all equally valid) and it can't be argued against. There is no inherit meaning to life.
There is no inherit meaning to life.
How can you be so sure? Maybe there is one and we just don't know it?
How can you be so sure? Maybe there is one and we just don't know it?
To assume life has a purpose means it was created for a purpose. Life arouse on Earth by chance.
Life is what you make of it, so enjoy it.
Nothing. There is no point of over-arching objective to my life. I simply go day to day enjoying the things that intrigue me till my limited span ends.
42 Being serious though, having fun.
I exist to smoke weed and don L4D2
To enjoy myself and not fuck it up for others, hopefully actually make others feel good too. EDIT: Is it even possible for anyone to not, ultimately, just have hedonism as their meaning of life? Everyone is driven towards anything that makes them feel good, whether that is to be honorable, to do good for others, to do good for themselves, to make lots of money, to fuck bitches, to smoke weed or whatever. Ultimately we're just chasing positive feelings and nothing more. I think I'd personally get that by being with people I like and to be nice to people.
I guess my answer would be to benefit the species in any way, however small. But personally I want my purpose to be to become the person I want to become. Unless you believe in a afterlife 'judgement' system, which I guess is one of the biggest factors stopping that kind of behaviour. There's a whole debate right there.

Ultimately, being nice to others is 'selfish' in a sense, but it doesn't matter because we're all working together to make life good for each other.
There isn't really alot to debate here since the meaning of life can vary from person to person based on their aspirations, interests and beliefs.
I simply go day to day enjoying the things that intrigue me till my limited span ends.
I share your lifestyle brotha. The meaning of life is about enjoying life and exploring/creating. People who dedicate their lives to work and ignore happiness are a bit depressing.
to explore and create
When a baby is born I like to think that the first thing it wants to express is utter bewilderment. The baby wants to scream "What the fuck is this?!?" at the top of his lungs, but since he is unaccustomed to this world, all he can get out is crying. As the baby grows it grows more used to the world and it learns, but by the time it can form the sentence "What is this!?!" It has already become deadened to the sense of bewilderment. The meaning of life for me is to not forget that essential question and give serious thought and emotion to the essential oddity that is life. We are hairless monkeys moving about in metal boxes whilst squeezing air between our meat to make sound. Essentially: The meaning of life is to give awe/reverence/fear to the source of life, to be humble, to love and create after it's spectacular example. To not let yourself be lost in the sensory maze that is this world, but to remember and ponder on the essential question.
get fucked an bleze it Kidding. Live life the way you want to and dont get fucking killed.
To become the dominant species. We've already done that, so beyond that, there isn't really one. Not unless we find some aliens or secret ape society to fight. Well actually, I guess you could argue that we won't be completely 'dominant' until we can kill other creatures with our bodies. So the next step would be transhumanism.
This doesn't belong in this forum. Anyway, the meaning of life is to pursue the advancement of the human race.
Is that your meaning of life, or what you think the general meaning of life is for the whole human race?
I always thought that if I made someone else's life worth living, then mine was too.
Every time I remember my personal meaning of the life I imagine a lot of people saying that it's stupid. That makes me feel miserable.
i dont have a personal opinion on the meaning of life but my goal in life is to be filthy rich does that count
My meaning of life is to explore (anything, and everything, whether it be just our selves, or Earth, or space, or time etc etc you get the point) Another is to get to your own point of happiness whether that is following religion, family, your country or any such thing. Another is to experience as much as possible then bring up your point of view.
None and it being pretty pointless as a suitable description for it. You will find creative means to benefit from the time that you have and to keep the mind busy but it comes from being provoked constantly by a need to feel satisfied which ultimately is the nature of our biology. It can't be for-filled because we are in a perpetual state of un-completeness in the same way that we need water to live. The relationship between this fact and everyone's shitty meanings in this thread is uncanny in both purpose and pursuit. For example, the idea of helping someone does not begin simply from the kindness of your heart as it is your willingness to relieve yourself of a burden or to seek reprisal.
this isnt a debate the meaning of life is to pro-create
Gotta love it when psuedo-scientist facepunchers come along and assume that science can tell us what the meaning of life is. Fun fact: it can't. If an act/event (i.e. life) has meaning, it has intentionality and a purpose. The fundamental sciences cannot even begin to superimpose intentions or purpose on the world. Just because I have a cock and I'm - by virtue of being human - obsessed with sticking it in vaginas it doesn't mean that by the magic of science we can deduce that's what life is about. It's very much a debate, as long as people are throwing around undeveloped bullshit because they think it sounds like it comes out of science and it's edgy. The sort of people who think "RICHARD DAWKINS IS THE ATHEIST WE NEED".
To commit good deeds, even if they are illegal in your country.
fucking, and dying.
