I am running an old Geforce 7300 GT (if I remember correctly). Lately the fan has been causing it to rattle making a very loud noise. It isn't screwed in to the side of the case because of lost screws. I just want to know if this is anything to worry about.
And the fan itself has been VERY hot.

Get a 8600GT or 9500GT AT LEAST for like $50 new off of newegg. 7300s are old. And if it was getting hot it's time for an upgrade also.
The fan's fucked. You're probably better off buying a new card than trying to fix stuff.
That's what I was thinking. How about a GTX 260?

Ehh. 275 if not 285 forget the 280 it's the worse than the 275 and $100s more.
The 280s would be a bit too much. It's just that the 260 is more in my price range. It might be pushing it, but how is this?

That's pretty nice. I would get it if I didn't already have a 285 lol.
What is your PSU?
There is a cheaper 275 that I bought today. It's $25.00 off. $199 total and comes with 2 free games.
Even if you don't have a PSU powerful enough it seems like a good investment. At least this month.
It is factory overclocked and seems to have a nice two fan cooler. It's MSI, but the reviews are solid.

the GTX 275 is the best choice
however, the 280 was 220 dollars about 2 months ago. Hope somebody here had the smarts to buy it lol.

Not trying to troll or anything but that has nothing but a .5MM thick plate with no airflow on the memory so, if you get this one, expect loudness and not being able to clock the memory very high.
The evga standard comes with 5 games that it doesn't show on newegg, but when you register it you get;
Cryostasis
3dmark vantage
far cry 2
crazy machine
CoDWaW
and you get a coupon for like %20 off a picture editor
Once again, not trolling. Just saying MSI I've heard often sends back lesser cards for RMA, and their warranty is only a year.
EVGA has lifetime, and you can start a step up program, essentially you pay $8 and they'd send you a 295/285 (your choice! only 8 darra) if they came out with a new nivida card within in 90 day period of when you start it.

That's true. I actually prefer eVGA over MSI but I didn't have much money.

Look at every site you can, newegg is usually one of the higher-priced sites. IF you haven't already gotten it.

no
Get a 4870 if you're looking at high-end budget gaming, or a 4850x2 if you have a bit more monies.
The 275 beats the 4870, then again the OP really didn't give us a budget.

Nor did he ask for a graphics card, OP just find a screw and screw it back in.
