If you like Super Meat Boy, dying a lot and/or are a ninja, buy this game.
Good. Been too long since I've played N+, I'm glad they brought this to PC
Holy shit yes I spent so much time with N+ on the Xbox creating levels
incase any of you ask, no it doesn't have online multiplayer. but if that's not an issue then holy shit get this game
Im a scum bag and plan on buying this on monday when I get paid, any chance of a torrent so i can play it over the weekend (User was banned for this post ("Asking for warez" - Big Dumb American))
Fuck yeah I remember way back in elementary school when all we would do in computer class was try and find whatever flash game website had the original N on it and wasn't blocked by the school. Didn't get N+ so I'll definitely pick this up
I'm somewhat disappointed that this one doesn't have multiplayer considering N plus had it, but for 12 bucks I can't really say no.
I'm somewhat disappointed that this one doesn't have multiplayer considering N plus had it, but for 12 bucks I can't really say no.
it has 4p local multiplayer, and they've said if of the game does well and the demand is high enough they might add in online. i mean there are stuff like online replays and custom level browsing
I sure have fantastic luck picking games to buy this year. N++ is the fourth game I've gotten this year with start up issues. Three of those were Steam games, two of them (including N++) seemed to be related to Steam's worthless DRM, and the last game wasn't a Steam game but was also DRM related. The only one out of those four that I ever got working was the one that wasn't on Steam too. Seriously starting to rethink my decision to start buying games on Steam again at this point.
which games?
Muv-Luv and Disgaea for the Steam ones. Muv-Luv has some issue where VC++ is messed up for some people and the game fails to run because of it. The solution to this is to reinstall VC++ but that doesn't fix it for me. Disgaea has an issue with OpenAL apparently where it simply doesn't install on some Windows 10 systems and this is apparently somehow related to Steam's drm. (At least according to the error it was giving everyone. It was an error about Steam not running. Edit: This error.) Though that one I'm really not sure on. The solution for that one is supposed to download OpenAL from the developer's site and install it but for some people, such as myself, that doesn't work either. (In my case in particular it creates a folder for OpenAL then for whatever reason puts a copy of the installer in there and does nothing else...)
Only local co-op? Is this true ?
Only local co-op? Is this true ?
Yes.
That's a shame. Last I recall N+ had mp over Xbox live
I can understand the local co-op only thing, latency probably would affect gameplay a LOT, like in Spelunky and such. Still would be rad if they found a way to make it work though.
N+ had multiplayer over the internet but latency was a massive issue. Seeing missiles glitch out constantly when they're flying for too long was a common issue and there was a map in one of the DLCs where you had to let a missile fly for a good 20 seconds or so while your partner(s) rush to the door opening switch. It was impossible because the missile would start to glitch out and after about 16 seconds would go hyper speed into you no matter how much distance you had.
Sounds less like a latency issue and more of a bad networking issue
Sounds less like a latency issue and more of a bad networking issue
probably but imo that's a good enough reason to leave it out of the game until they have that figured out i'd rather wait for proper online multiplayer than have one that's known to be buggy as fuck
Been playing it a bit today, its pretty great.
#shotsfired
Watch the first video on the Steam page. It's a god damn mass shooting.
