Senior Republicans: Russia's Invasion of Ukraine is Obama's Fault
President Barack Obama might as well have invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine, conservatives charge, after years of what they call foreign affairs accommodation at best — and weakness, at worst — that has put the administration on defense against domestic critics amid the deepening Ukrainian crisis.
Salvo after salvo is landing from Republican hawks who say Putin’s incursion into the Ukraine is the result of Obama’s attempt to “reset” relations with Russia and give far too much ground to a ruler widely despised among U.S. conservatives.

The crisis is “the ultimate result of a feckless foreign policy where no one believes in America’s strength anymore,” Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) told the American Israel Public Affairs Committee on Monday. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) said on Sunday that he believed Obama was playing marbles, while Putin played chess. Other Republicans, whose frustrations have been simmering since Obama decided last year not to authorize an attack on Syria, say Obama’s previous threat about a “red line,” which resulted in no major consequences when crossed, amounted to a green light for tyrants and despots to do as they will.
On Monday, Sen. Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma, the ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, faulted Obama for cuts to defense spending — the latest to be included in the president’s budget set for delivery to Congress on Tuesday — which Inhofe said had amounted to a clear message.

The first senior administration official could not resist a sarcastic allusion to President George W. Bush’s 2001 meeting with Putin, in which he said he’d gotten a “sense of his soul.”
“We in this administration have made it a practice to not look into Vladimir Putin’s soul, so I can’t speak for him,” the administration official said Sunday. “What I can say is that we’re not just speaking from the United States; we’re speaking from the entire world. And what you see is, I think, a very clear message that nobody is going to accept the legitimacy of this action in Ukraine.”

“The world does not expect the United States just ‘to stand with the international community,’ as the president said,” said former Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.), now president of the conservative Heritage Foundation. “They expect the United States to lead. Weak statements, history has proven, only invite aggression.”

It doesn't have to have anything to do with Ukraine. To the uneducated and uninformed, defense cuts can be held up next to Russian aggression and the connection will be made. And the uneducated and uninformed just so happen to be the biggest Republican voter base.
Thanks Obama.

Thanks obamacare
You heard it here first folks. You literally can't make this shit up
Don't worry when Hillary Clinton is sworn into office she will crush the Russian Bear that has invaded Ukraine.
Are you fucking kidding me?
This is political pandering to the highest degree, even painfully so.
The mark of a hawk is they always, ALWAYS, believe there is a US military answer for any issue. Russia invades Ukraine? It's because we don't have a big enough military to scare the Russians.
Yeah, because the Russians really will believe the US is willing to fight a war against over Ukraine.
Excuse me while I roll my eyes.
edit: for relevance
I live in Texas and literally every single ad campaign i've seen so far for various people running for state government, have all basically said how these people will do the exact opposite of everything Obama has done; everything is Obama's fault. :v:
This isn't even counting the people whos ads don't even bother to say what their goals or policies are, and instead just directly attack other competitors.
American politics. :suicide:

And yes, "creating more jerbs" is still a MAJOR thing to them over here.
Tories are exactly the same. Pushing some big "creating" jobs thing, when most of them are unpaid/under minimum wage "internships" (in stacking shelves at your local store etc)
Then to top it off the tories are accusing miliband (labour) for somehow letting russia do this.
Funny how crackpots the world over think the same.

What the fuck?
Oh I get it, Obama is actually Soviet Union's sleeper agent prepped in the 80's to destroy USA from the inside.
It has to be. :v:

"Funded a revolution in Ukraine"
Interesting assessment
What did Obama even do besides say "Totalitarian regimes are bad and you should listen to your people."
Everything is Obama's fault
Poor Obama
"Funded a revolution in Ukraine"
Interesting assessment
Well here it's meant as a joke, though I'm sure that some people actually believe it.
"Funded a revolution in Ukraine"

Well Russia "funded" Yanukovichs elections, so that would only be logical for some people to assume that USA did the same with revolution, right? :v:
And the uneducated and uninformed just so happen to be the biggest Republican voter base.
Interestingly enough, the most and least educated are both democratic (didn't graduate high school and post-doctorate degree), while the middle ground is held by the republicans (some college and college degree). The least educated are most definitely dominated by the democrats.
I feel like they're just blaming this on him because bitching about Obamacare got old.
