oh god please
Book becomes game becomes movie becomes game with several addon canon novels.
My feelings are mixed. On the one hand, as someone who read the book I'm rather pleased that the author will get the recognition I believe he deserves. On the other hand... it might be an adaptation of the game rather than the book, which, as everyone's familiar with, doesn't usually work out too well.

Of course it won't work.

I would really love a Half Life movie

So who the hell is the screenplay writer ? IMDB shows that he was quality assurance on some shit games and then wrote a script to one movie what hasn't even been released yet.
I'd much prefer to see a miniseries on this. Game of Thrones style. A movie is like a one stop shop and can't hold it nearly as well.
