Two days ago, a woman, who took her cat to Old-Pärnu animal clinic for the castration was surpised, when she was called from the clinic to discover that the wounds on her tomcat were the result of shooting. Police say that there are incidents, where animals are harmed by the bullet of air gun, unfortunately often forwards.
„It seems the cat was shot multiple times,“ said the manager of animal clinic who treated the cat, veterinarian Mart Taggel, who found the pellet from one of the wounds. „The rest are obviously gone,“ he assumed.
According to the words of western prefecture press agent Hedy Tammeleht, it unfortunately became a common, where the family finds that their pet(s) is injured. „The shooting distance is often long and when the animal comes home injured, it's complicated to know where the horrible act happened. The shooter also barely admits of his acts and there are no witnesses,“ stated Tammeleht.[/release]
Think again when you let your pet outside to chill. Anything is possible.

Jesus, you sound like some fear mongering news outlet, this happened in Estonia
God damn, who the fuck does this?
My asshole neighbors have pellet guns and I'm always find the pellets in my yard. I think they were shooting my cat.
A some friends of mine had a dog die recently, the vet found pellets throughout it's body.
The problem is the size of the things make it extremely difficult to spot any wounds, this was a white, short haired dog and there were no obvious wounds to be found.
Here we go again, irresponsible pet owners thinking the world is a safe place for their pets to roam without supervision. Don't want this happening to your pet? Keep them inside, or in a fenced off area.

Have you ever had a cat? They will do anything to get out of the house. They can climb walls and jump out of windows, they like to spend most of their time outside.
If someone would shoot my cat I'd feel sorry for them.
Almost all of my outside house pets have been shot. My old dog was shot in the leg and we never knew for 7 years.

None of them died from the bullets.

Im irresponsible for letting my animal run around outside, where animals live. That makes sense.
One of my cats got shot once. And i am in friggin Germany.
This isn't going to keep me from letting my cats out from time to time, but this will definitely make me more concerned and nervous

:siren:ARE COMMUNISTS SHOOTING YOUR PETS? MORE AT 11:siren:
From my experience, some people get extreme butthurt when a neighbour's cat dares to enter their precious garden.

If they were pellet guns you'd probably be able to tell, most of them are designed to take down small animals (kill them), like pests and such. Not saying a cat is a pest, but its only slightly larger, a cat would need serious medical attention. It's like a human being shot by a real bullet. (although this is excluding the possibility they have shitty pellet guns)
BB guns are not the same thing.
oh my god :smith: at least the cat is ok :unsmith:
fuck irresponsible fucktard making airguns, airsoft, and paintball to some extent look bad
[editline]16th June 2011[/editline]
and real guns

So? It can happen anywhere. Every country in the world has fucked up people. Durr.
My Grandpa does this, except he dosn't load the gun. He just uses the noise to scare them out of his yard.
He dosn't like it when they go after the bird feeder.
-snip-
Man, that shooting was TOTALLY pointless. America is CERTAINLY not so poor that they have to eat cats to survive, they aren't much of an animal to hunt, and I don't know ANYONE who ever died from being attacked by a domestic housecat, so why the hell would anyone shoot the poor thing? Whoever fired those shots is a right asshole for such pointless animal cruelty.
Er guys do you know how much a pain in the ass tomcats are outside?
They fucking piss on everything and howl into windows at 2am, it's not the loveable cat you're thinking of. I mean it's sad that it got shot but people shoot tomcats with real guns and you don't hear about that on the news.

Here we go again, jack-asses thinking the world is their playground and to hell with respecting anyone's personal property.

We actually have a feline sanctuary near our town, but they never reveal their exact location to anyone wanting to adopt a cat because of people trying to throw poisoned food over the fences. People are dicks, man.

you shouldn't have to worry about kids killing your pet.
Getting hit by cars, getting eaten by animals, getting a disease, etc yeah.
Who is cruel enough to shoot an animal with a pellet gun?
My asshole neighbors have pellet guns and I'm always find the pellets in my yard. I think they were shooting my cat.
Shoot at them, then.
It's normal in my area to shoot at stray cats. I thought everyone did that.

It was just a warning.
