This goes on sale literally every other month. There's no reason not to have this.
Is the Director's Cut still broken as shit?
How could you not have this yet
well I don't own the Director's Cut but I don't know if I'd even bother. Don't really know anything about it besides they "fixed" the bosses or something
Overall director's cut is pretty much less yellow and a little more to the boss fights.
The commentary is very interesting though and is pretty much the only reason to get the Directors cut

They fixed the majority of the texture issues, and I think they've removed all the game breaking bugs.
The boss fights don't include the extra zones on the minimap iirc, and the cinematics don't include the new zones either, but the differences are barely noticeable unless you're autistic and notice 100% of things and make a big deal out of them.
Also the game's less yellow, has directors commentary and instead of giving you the pre purchase weapons immediately at the start (only for pro players to just drop the instantly) the game scatters stuff like the shotgun and explosive stuff around the map in semi-hidden areas.
And if you want the debug menu for playful purposes, here it is
I think i'll pick this up.
I kinda want to replay the game, might as well do it with the DC version.
The commentary was easily the most interesting part for me, especially the bits where the teams dived into the "What Ifs" and cool stuff they could have done with fewer budget limitations. They actually covered quite a lot of little and bigger problems I had with the game and basically said "sorry, we also wish it was better".
Otherwise it just mostly ties up the DLCs to a consistent whole, adds a bit polish and more dakka in boss arenas, hidden away in sneaky/hacky routes. There's also NG+, but it just saves your skill points, not your inventory, so if you were hoping for a massive killing spree in Detroit with four fully upgraded guns then you still have to rely on the fanmade debug menu enabler.

Is "the internet" now seriously calling typical nerd stuff "autistic" because "nerdy"/"geeky" has lost its bite and needs an upgrade? Sheesh, what an incredibly childish way of trying to dismiss other opinions without arguments.

Reminder. Six years ago the insult was "faggot".
What I want to know is, does the Director's Cut fix the shitty batteries that don't recharge ?
Or at least does the debug menu do that ?

Two batteries recharge now instead of just one, not that it's a problem anyway because the game's always had an ample supply of stuff to refil your batteries.
Aww, I was hoping that the discounts for already owning the others would stack.
I'll give it a shot then, would be fun to just fuck around with the debug mode.
Does it sync my achievements from the two? Or do I have to do it all again?
Does it sync my achievements from the two? Or do I have to do it all again?
You have the enjoyment of doing it all over again. It effectively doubles your gamerscore and triples your E-Dick
I never finished the original, so have no idea where I am and can't remember the story.
Would it be worth getting this and starting again, or just finishing the original.
(Basically what major benefits are there in getting the DC edition)

Same thought I had. I'd be up for paying 1-2 bucks to replay it in a different form.
Some more info about the "less yellow" thing people talked about, I did a small comparison back when the DC came out to show the difference:

These were taken with the same graphics settings on both games.

here are 3 more screenshots (although with no original comparisons) that show off the reduced gold/more neutral lighting

They didn't redo the prerendered cutscenes so those are still pretty gold and look kinda weird in contrast to the game

I've played the game with the commentary like halfway through when it came out and a few weeks back, they definitely fixed some gamebreaking bugs (specifically when having the commentary turned on) so that aspect is also not a problem anymore
Buy it nerds.

Not on "Give Me Deus Ex" it doesn't.
I got this in the sale and I'm still yet to play it. Skyrim has eaten up alot of my time over the past month.
anyone have the link to that enb config I saw on the screenshots thread? it made it look not yellow and looked amazing on top of that
I bought it like 1 year ago for PS3 and discovered I'm not good at these kind of games. Remember the [sp] mission in which you have to go to the police office and find the terrorist's dead body?[/sp] Well I ended up killing almost everyone there because of my lack of stealth.
So wait, does this sale stack with the discount from owning the games?

Doesn't look like it
Hm, this is probably the cheapest it will ever go... I finished the normal version multiple times and got every achievement (even DLC). I don't see myself replaying it any time soon so right now it would be a pointless purchase.
If it was like half of what they ask right now, 2.5 euros, then we're talking.
snagged

Well honestly if you've played the base game to completion there is really no reason to get this. The DC sounds like it's more directed towards people who own the base game but never finished it 100% (like me) or people who never got to play the base game.

Well if I remember right, I can't buy the original version's DLC anymore to complete my game with Missing Link, and I never 100%'d the original even though I beat it, so I really have no choice but to get this for the long run.
Jensen looks like a caricature of some sort of insect in the store page art.
