Seriously why can't ads just be a click-through gif or png why do they have to allow JavaScript and other shit when it's such a security concern

You can look at the source if you download it, because it's one of those crappy Chrome reskins. There were comments about it being insecure. Overall I think it's made mostly by marketing and businesspeople rather than by good software developers.
Good, the first step of the journey to fix ads. Still a long way before I'll disable my ad blocker. I'll stick to white-list sites for now.
